No one said they didn’t want Mosque in NYC. They only said they didn’t want it next to the world trade center site. Pretty hard to disrespect the love ones that died that day and their families wishes. I am sure they can find other sites in NYC to build a Mosque.

While I am no fan of a mosque at ground zero, the Fox coverage of this is not correct. The public hearing last night was in front of a group that has no authority to approve the project; they act in a consultative role only. Many hearings are necessary before they get a building permit – they aren’t close to that yet.

If someone would have wanted to build a Evangelical church there, that proposal would have been shot down in a heartbeat…

I think most of us knew already how sad and pathetic the GOPee is and how they fear all things not like themselves (inbred, racist, homophobic, war mongerers, and cowards).

At least when they evolve out of our society, the rest of us can live in peace.

All Americans can sit back and watch political correctness and cowardly politicians of both parties lose the greatness that is America. But we voted these cowards into office and despite the rukus of the Tea Party, when Novenber 2010 and 2012 comes around we will probably see the same cowards and America haters in congress and the White House. Them it will be shame on us.

Between protesting the KSM trial and this mosque being built, the protesters can grab drinks and bites to eat between the two locals this Summer and Fall. Should be quite a show, Fo’ Sho’. ;o)

The hypocrisy in this thread is unbelievable. If you hate NYC and everyone who lives there, then why do you care about the 9/11 victims or their families? Is it because only after they die do they rise above being merely New Yorkers to become real Americans? Why do you take so personally something that has nothing to do with you?

Arizona is being kept solvent by the taxes paid by New Yorkers. It has one of the highest ratios of taxes spent to taxes paid in the nation, which is why it needs to sell its federal buildings and prisons for some quick cash. Now it wants to spend more New Yorker money to put more cops on the street to arrest people simply for crossing an invisible line. Sounds like you’re getting all the federal help you need. Now go get a job and do your part.
