Broom-Wielding Priests Fight Over Territory In Bethlehem Church |

Well, praise Jesus! As long as the Greeks took it in the shorts, I say let ‘em go at it!
These are not Jews fighting. They are Christians fighting each other over a wrong placed ladder. We have been there three times and noted that each Christian sect has an area-same divisions in the Holy Sepulcre Church in Jerusalem. The Roman Catholics have a certain area where funds can be raised. The Copts have another where they sell olive wood statuettes. The Ethiopians (being black) have been relegated to the upper floor of the Holy Sepulcre. They are not allowed to sell stuff. The Greek Orthodox are actually allowed inside the Holy tomb where they have their hands out begging! After crawling into the tomb I nearly cried about the awful beggar.There is so much acrimony that ONLY a Mulim is entrusted with the keys to the church. THis family has done that for over 400 years. He showed us where he sleeps and the enormous key he wears around his belt.
