I’m kind of hoping Jimmy’s time is about up too. Same day as Teddy Kennedy? please, don’t get my hopes up.

The superdelegates are waiting for the primaries to be finished, so no one can claim that they were robbed of their chance to be a part of the process.
You may think whatever you think of Carter, but he is very definitely still a Democratic party insider. In a week and a half, she will be finished.
Why do the Democrats have “super delegates.” Why do they allow certain fellow citizens that are equal under the law to have more say than themselves? Do the elitist party members such as Carter not trust the will of their own party members?
The entire primary process in the Democrat party is a bogus charade and a sham because ultimately the candidate is decided by the whims of party hacks and insiders and totally nulifies the wishes and choice of the rank and file party members. Is this what they plan for all of us in the future?

But what President Carter and the rest of us are worried about is the next president of our contry. After the colossal failure of the G.W. Bush presidency, just no ordinary person will be able to lead us out of the abyss Bush has plunged us into. It will take one of the truly great leaders now to be our president.
Since the republicons seems to have chosen that ignorant, senile, elderly Democratic reject McCain, the race really only came down to Hillery and Barack. They have been fighting it out for some time now, but Obama just keeps gaining strength and Hillery seems to just loose it. Folks like president Carter are just trying to give those little hints that it is over for Hillery.
The previous ‘Rover’ post is a fake, but you could get Jimmy Carter’s peanuts at one time as sort of a novelty item. They tasted just like any other peanuts though. Al Gore stopped growing tobacco after the death of his sister from cancer so no samples there. Of course, he got a Nobel prize too!

I agree with most of what you said to the mad dog leftie who calls himself Rover, however…..
There are many conservative, clear-thinking teachers still out there, hiding in the public school system. I was one of them, so I know this to be a fact.
I can reveal this, now that I have retired and I cannot be fired for my insensitive, unPC activities.
I dared to have my 1st graders say the pledge, learn the Star Spangled Banner, learn why we REALLY celebrate Christmas and at least once week I let them sing along to the Lee Greenwood CD- “I’m Proud to Be an American.” I taught them to respect the flag and that the Founding Fathers were to be respected. I also had to point out each year, whether teaching 8th grade or 1st, that Martin Luther King, although an important civil rights leader, DID NOT free the slaves.
There are lots of rotten apples in the schools, but there are still good patriotic teachers, trying to continue to battle the forces of evil!!!
I feel that Carter’s time should be about up or OVERDUE…..
Arafat had a Nobel Prize as well.

I know there are good teachers out there… otherwise we would not have been able to produce this greatest generation of soldiers ever to keep us free. (With all due respect to the previous “Greatest Generation…of WWII–these warriors today learned from you. Wasn’t that your goal… to have grandchildren better than yourselves?)
I, too, once taught school, and I really liked the students… it was the school administrators and parents that were too ponderous and intolerable for me to stay in that profession.

There he goes again! Jimmy stills wants to have a say in American politics when he was THE WORST PRESIDENT ever!!! He is great at making houses and anti-American speeches, but someone needs to confiscate his passport and make him go back to the peanut farm in Plains, GA. All the kids who were too young to remember him as prez or not born yet (or the “progressive” crowd) think he’s great and we should listen to his wisdom. I think not!
