FLASHBACK REP. ETHERIDGE IN 2007: YOUNG PEOPLE SHOULD “GET INVOLVEDâ€

Dave   June 14th, 2010 - 12:08 am

I would have kicked him in the nuggets!

Chuck   June 13th, 2010 - 11:09 pm

Disgusting display from an elected official..

PaBowHunter   June 13th, 2010 - 11:09 pm

That was a criminal assault. He should be charged and proscuted. And he should be immediately impeached. Even if the college student does not wish to press charges, the congressman should STILL be impeached for that type of conduct.

claspur   June 14th, 2010 - 12:29 am

…. and the next song…All Together Now… WE won't get fooled again!

He would've got more than a knee in his marblebag from me, btw…

Gomer Pyle said it best.. Citizen's Arrest! Citizen's Arrest!!!

Seriously-now. Knee to the marblebag, putting him down, face first to the sidewalk and held there until police arrived and arrested for assault.

dan   June 14th, 2010 - 12:49 am

i am an attorney and will be contacting these students to represent them in an assault lawsuit…..and yes, etheridge may be gay since he is obviously enjoying groping and fondling this young man…remembernovember2010.com just vote these complete jackasses out of office

hempstead1944   June 14th, 2010 - 7:08 am

Redneckerson personified! This jerk has to make North Carolinians proud…..h

Steely Irony   June 14th, 2010 - 7:11 am

The student has every reason and right to file a police report and have this congressman charged with assault. Maybe a few of his more enterprising constituents might stage a “fake kidnapping” and rough the congressman up a bit – you know what I mean – give the man a taste of his own medicine. Then release him naked some hot summer’s night just near the White House. Hmm… I think that sounds like a plan! If I lived in North Caroline, I just might…

skipper99   June 14th, 2010 - 7:12 am

Is anyone besides me, starting to get the feeling that an awful lot of Dem’s are starting to feel their rear ends cramp up, when asked about their support for Obama and his corrupt agenda.

jmf_stl   June 14th, 2010 - 7:13 am

What a shame. If only a Republican or Tea-Partier would have done this. But since he is a democrat it will be totally acceptable behavior. The poor man was just defending himself.

Bet you don’t see this on MSM.

SubjectoftheUSSA   June 14th, 2010 - 7:16 am

perfect length for a campaign commercial

Who acts like that on the street, seriously? CREEEEEPY

karl   June 14th, 2010 - 7:21 am

I reckon if I was the guy you cornholed last night–you would recognize the back of my head!

unkeeaf   June 14th, 2010 - 7:23 am

Democrats get away with murder. Just imagine if a Republican had done this! When is the public going to wake up to the incredible double standard in the media?

The Obama administration summed up in a photo: http://bit.ly/bS2V73

Tom   June 14th, 2010 - 7:27 am

A$$clown!

FRW55   June 14th, 2010 - 7:30 am

That video clip will surely be used by his opponent this fall. It won’t make it on MSM outlets but at least it will be seen on FOX and is sure to go viral on the Internet.

CAT   June 14th, 2010 - 7:30 am

A GOOD COMMUNIST INTERRAGATION. WELCOME TO AMERICA. WHO IS HE.

chicagomatt   June 14th, 2010 - 7:35 am

i agree with FRW55…. the Democrats are saying and doing nasty things almost on a daily basis. don’t expect to see these clips on ABC News, but you’ll be seeing them in political ads this October.

fastfacts   June 14th, 2010 - 7:37 am

I know I have been saying this ever since I read the 31 Days of Corruption on http://www.americanparchment.com but Democrats are over 3 times more unethical than the Democrats have ever been. Doesn’t matter your rhetoric, the facts come out. Now the Black Caucus wants to gut the Ethics Board in the House, this because they are almost all under some sort of probe. What are our ‘leaders’ doing.

SOURCE OF FACTS: http://www.americanparchment.com/library/31_corrupt_politicians_31_days.html

Where have our leaders gone?   June 14th, 2010 - 7:38 am

The congressman is probably loaded. Think about it. If you were in the same party has the Big O and you helped sell your country down the river, wouldn’t you resort to drinking, too?

When is someone in the Democrat party going to man-up and take over. We need a leader!

I   June 14th, 2010 - 7:39 am

I would have filed charges. Did they even call the police? Who the heck does he think he is?

David Snider   June 14th, 2010 - 7:39 am

Are you kidding. I would have kicked him in the nuts and called the police ……………..

BHO-R-ISLAM-SYMPATHIZER-POS-POTUS   June 14th, 2010 - 7:39 am

What a liberal spaz. One thing is for sure. Etheridge likes boys and he likes to manhandle them. If one looks closely, one can see Etheridge sport a woody as he’s groping the student.

PS: you don’t have a right to know who they are.

PaBowHunter   June 14th, 2010 - 7:42 am

I think democrats are drunk with power right now. I mean he cannot think that what he did is legal or even socially acceptable to Americans. And I think he may have had a little too much to drink also.

sandyjo53   June 14th, 2010 - 7:43 am

The kid should of said I am one of the taxpayers that pay your salary sir,you do remember you work for us!
These guys are getting bolder and more arrogant every time they get their bills pushed through.

DUH   June 14th, 2010 - 7:44 am

AS OBAMMY WOULD SAY, SUE HIS ASS.

Baaboo   June 14th, 2010 - 7:46 am

Liberal Dem do have a mental disease !!!!!

Not Kennedy   June 14th, 2010 - 7:48 am

A Sean Penn wannabe. And now thathe has his own video clip, maybe he can relocate to Venezuela. Or Massachusetts.

Buzz Bannister   June 14th, 2010 - 7:49 am

“Who Are You” …Congressman, you should be asking the leader of your party that question.

Lisa B.   June 14th, 2010 - 7:49 am

I would have neutered that S.O.B. with my bare hands…. You touch me at your own risk morons.

notasheeple   June 14th, 2010 - 7:51 am

Looks like this Son Of A B1TCH will be unemployed after his next election… Good….

DawnRaging   June 14th, 2010 - 7:52 am

I think this kid just got the rest of his college tuition paid in full.

Say What   June 14th, 2010 - 7:53 am

Students should call police with video and have this guy arrested for assault!!! Then he will learn who HE IS NOT ( ABOVE THE LAW!! ) This guys actions are disgusting to any one who would call himself an AMERICAN!!!!

Mac   June 14th, 2010 - 7:53 am

Battery, assault, illegal restraint – where is the local DA’s office?
This thug needs to be arrested!
He is NOT above the law-

ricardo maxwell   June 14th, 2010 - 7:55 am

This is essentially what ALL democrats are doing to Americans right now. Bullying and strong arming them. Arrest him, convict him send him to jail and ban him from further public office.

Kathy   June 14th, 2010 - 7:55 am

The student has an assault case…hope he pressed charges. Hope he presses a civil suit and gets big bucks.

m-1911   June 14th, 2010 - 7:56 am

The Congressman is not responsible, it is the fault of George Bush

ron   June 14th, 2010 - 7:56 am

This man personifies what it means to be an Obama-style public servant.

RightStuff   June 14th, 2010 - 7:56 am

Etherige will be given a medal on the floor of the House of Representatives. A Republican congressman doing such a thing would be forced to resign.

Jhm   June 14th, 2010 - 7:56 am

You all know this will never be picked up by the major media, like the coverage that one congressman got for claiming he was spit on. When proof was asked for, none was given but the story lived on.

Hopefuly this congressman is seeing his last days in office! Vote all the lib/deems out in November!

sandy   June 14th, 2010 - 7:56 am

Let’s remember November, and oust all these Chicago wannabee thugs…

Mike Dixon   June 14th, 2010 - 7:56 am

OOOOOH! I wish he would have done that to me! A quick take down, dislocating his shoulder and a strong heel to the face and an elbow to the ribs. Hey, it was self defense!Put that on You Tube!

Voice of Reason   June 14th, 2010 - 7:57 am

So who are you? What’s wrong with answering his question? If you accosted me on the street with a camera and started asking me questions, I’d want to know who you are. What do you have to hide?

I would assume since you didn’t want to identify yourself that you were committing or about to commit a crime. I would be worried for my safety. Asking you to identify yourself is only the first question I’d be asking.

This isn’t journalism, it’s assault. I thought the congressman’s response was measured and directly to the point.

tom   June 14th, 2010 - 7:58 am

Congressman- “I have a right to know who you are.”

Actually, he doesn’t. And, if he’s got that poor of conception of what actual rights are–well, he’s got no business being in congress.

malachicrunch   June 14th, 2010 - 7:58 am

Too bad the Cap. police didnt plug the democrat CS full of holes.

PaBowHunter   June 14th, 2010 - 7:59 am

@ Voice of Reason: And that’s why you and your douche bag party should never be in power.

Ric   June 14th, 2010 - 7:59 am

Wow. That guy has some nerve.

catman   June 14th, 2010 - 7:59 am

Assualt and battery. This is what we get when those in congress think that they are above the law, better than the rest of us, they do not need the Constitution as they know what is best for the masses. Remember this crap in November. This guy should be running his campaign from DC Jail.

abc   June 14th, 2010 - 7:59 am

why does he keep asking who he is? intimidation? hopes that he could exact retribution?

Kuntryjoe   June 14th, 2010 - 8:00 am

All you little people don’t understand. When a person gets elected to Congress, they become better than the rest of us. Our laws no longer apply to them. You should be ashamed of yourselves for thinking that you have the right to talk, or even breathe the same air as these glorious personages. Please leave them alone and let them do their job. They know what is best for you, so just sit down and shut up!

Kevin   June 14th, 2010 - 8:00 am

Don’t think for a second that this is not the prevailing attitude amongst our “elitist” Congressmen and Senators. It is now WELL beyond time to TAKE OUR COUNTRY BACK. If you think that these SOB’s will just go “silently into the night” then you have another thing coming.

Jason   June 14th, 2010 - 8:00 am

Don’t let this guy get away with what he did! Press charges so he and others like him don’t think they can do whatever they want!!!

He held you against your will for asking a question. Assualt. Held against your will.

Dave, Tn   June 14th, 2010 - 8:01 am

Having “I am god” issues congressman? That’s the problem with Socialist and why they hate anyone who reminds them they aren’t god.

Dagny   June 14th, 2010 - 8:01 am

I live in adjoining district and will now double down on supporting the Republican candidate running against this snake. Thank you for posting this.

Who Are You?   June 14th, 2010 - 8:02 am

Did anyone ever think that the congressman is just an obsessed Who fan and had that song in his head?

BHO Shat Upon US   June 14th, 2010 - 8:02 am

This was clearly a House ethics violation and Ehteridge should be penalized for that — maybe after November, if he’s still there, after some moral people take over.

“Who are you?” Just what every one of those un-American Democrat turds needs to ask as they look into the mirror each day.

Gloria M.   June 14th, 2010 - 8:02 am

The dems have gone nuts. They know they are losing power and control. Their party has been hijacked by progressive Marxist.

whatsthatabout   June 14th, 2010 - 8:02 am

This congressman needs to be locked up for assault! What a JERK!

Detour   June 14th, 2010 - 8:03 am

Why has no one pressed charges…

nemesisjewelry   June 14th, 2010 - 8:03 am

who are you?!?!

your freaking BOSS!! that’s who.

Allen Ridge   June 14th, 2010 - 8:03 am

Typical DEMOCRAT………. the whole Party is coming unglued thanks to our Great Divider-in-Chief Obama…….

You know our corrupt liberal/progressive MSM wolfpack press won’t show this.

And the worst one is the WASHINGON POST……….which cooks their polls and juices their stories………..

bdiamonds   June 14th, 2010 - 8:03 am

The kid showed an awful lot of restraint. Seriously.

denise   June 14th, 2010 - 8:03 am

That man is a 24 carat ass. The answer to his question of “who are you” should have been “your employer, that’s who”. Then I would have filed charges.

Kathy   June 14th, 2010 - 8:04 am

Voiceofreason, you simply have none.

wolfster38   June 14th, 2010 - 8:04 am

Is this bug eyed congressman a drunk?

I'm Gumby damn it!   June 14th, 2010 - 8:04 am

Hey kid, tell him who you are, so when you beat his ass for attacking you, he remembers.

John Q.   June 14th, 2010 - 8:04 am

Geeeeeeez. When are these idiot Dems going to be booted out? Who keeps voting for these imbeciles? You really have to be mentally unbalanced to vote for a Democrat these days.

quitmatch   June 14th, 2010 - 8:04 am

With a show of hands from fellow congressman regarding who supports this behavior. Im am asking for the mass resignation of all congress people that expect to govern in this manner. I would, and will not tolerate or obey a goverment that cannot behave in a civil manner and regard for law. He should be removed from office and quick.

Dean   June 14th, 2010 - 8:05 am

I despise Obama as much as the next guy but I believe the Congressman had every right to ask “Who are you?”. The chicken s#it student should have answered the question.

DJT   June 14th, 2010 - 8:05 am

THE correct answer to the mantra like question to the young man from the violent Congressman— “Who are you! Who are you! Who are you”— is simply:
AN AMERICAN CITIZEN!!!!!!!

Barry Bin Inhalin   June 14th, 2010 - 8:05 am

The esteemed Congressman sounded an aweful lot like a guy who just finished a 3 martini lunch. His brass aggies on full display after the liquid confidence.

Yes, press charges son.

John Q.   June 14th, 2010 - 8:06 am

Oh..ok…Voice Of Reason is the kind of moron that votes for a Democrat—that answers a lot.

PaBowHunter   June 14th, 2010 - 8:06 am

@Dean: Then you don’t understand the US Constitution. Please go away.

ForMyFather   June 14th, 2010 - 8:06 am

To “Voice of Reason”… the responsible thing to do if the congressman didn’t wish to answer a question from an unidentified person would have been just walk away. Not assault someone. You should consider changing your name.

GHA   June 14th, 2010 - 8:07 am

He was inappropriate but the student should have identified himself after the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th 5th or 6th request. . . and don’t be sticking a microphone or anything else in my face.

Lam Dem   June 14th, 2010 - 8:08 am

Sorry Voice of UnReason, Your a TOOL. He does not have the Right to put his hands on anybody, Camara or No Camara and they don’t have to tell him who they are PERIOD. If you don’t like them asking you a Question don’t answer but keep your hands to your self.Remember We Are STILL FREE in this Country, Just another TOOL for the Big OOOOOOOOOOO……….

crabbo mabbo   June 14th, 2010 - 8:08 am

NOTHING those young men did justified the violent response. NOTHING. I hope they take this video to the police and file assault charges.

Mike C   June 14th, 2010 - 8:08 am

These kids are annoying trouble-makers. “press charges” some commenters say?!?! For what?!?!

Who Are You   June 14th, 2010 - 8:08 am

Why is the Lame Stream Media Dying? Because you would have never have seen this story on their news unless it was a Republican Congressman!

Kudos to the college student for keeping his cool!

Jill Hill   June 14th, 2010 - 8:09 am

The student should have called 911…gee wonder why this isn’t in the MSM…perhaps because the Congressman is not a Republican, but a Progressive…or should we rename them the “Agressive Party!”

steffy   June 14th, 2010 - 8:09 am

Wow. I am impressed with the young interviewer. I could NOT have been so cool as he. If that OLD, Obama, Lib piece of crap touched me, I would have been in JAIL today. For sure.

It IS fun watching the dems crumble because they see and KNOW what’s coming. LOL!

John Q.   June 14th, 2010 - 8:09 am

Dean….don’t be stupid. Not identifying yourself is not grounds for assault and battery. In fact, unless the congressman is also a law enforcement official the student has absolutely no reason to identify himself.

will opine   June 14th, 2010 - 8:09 am

For the sake of balance, this video should be posted side by side with the video of Rep. Clyburn being called racial names before the signing of the H.C. Bill.
What? What’s that? There is no such video of that ? Huh.

Jim   June 14th, 2010 - 8:09 am

The Congressman should be charged with Assault and would the statement “I have a right to know who you are” be profiling?

Mike   June 14th, 2010 - 8:10 am

Who are you? Well, congressman, I am a TAXPAYER, in other words, your boss. Now take your hand off of me before I chokehold you into the emergency room.

Thank you. Have a nice day.

Steve   June 14th, 2010 - 8:10 am

This has nothing to do with democrats or their opposition party – it has to do with the thoroughly corrupt system in which 2 corrupt syndicates control the lives of the timid prisoners they oppress. Arrogance is the problem, the “elected officials” (not official about them, they are to be public “servants”) have trained the timid to be subservient. Drive the people that pay the bills into the ground and “give” them $300 every once in a while for appeasement. It is long past due for flushing the toilet congress has been for 40 years and forcing the “representatives to become answerable to those whose assets they promiscuously confiscate.

Flush congress – even broken toilets eventually get fixed.

This scumbag will be elected, however, by the remarkably ignorant public.

LizardLips   June 14th, 2010 - 8:10 am

Why the congressman wasn’t on the ground holding genitals I’ll never understand. When will these idiot ’students’ understand that they were assaulted and they should have responded and then pressed charges. Morons!

John Campbell   June 14th, 2010 - 8:10 am

Is this Congressman behind bars with assault charges filed? If not, WHY NOT?

Kathy   June 14th, 2010 - 8:11 am

All elected officials have microphones stuck in their faces and know that it’s a reporter doing the sticking, comes with the job. Someone call Fox news and get this aired as we all know the MSM will shove it under the carpet as they habitually do with all things that don’t fit their agenda.

wolfster38   June 14th, 2010 - 8:11 am

More Obama violence

Stronz   June 14th, 2010 - 8:11 am

Q: What are the worst 6 years in a liberals years?

A 3rd grade…

Paul Albers   June 14th, 2010 - 8:12 am

Maybe the kid was an Illegal Alien and did not want to show his papers.
I wonder where the drunk congressman stands on Arizona’s new law?

The_Professor   June 14th, 2010 - 8:12 am

Sorry “Voice of Reason,” but your line of “reasoning” is typical lawyerese… Make it seem like the congressman “fears for his safety” and then excuse his unlawful assault on those grounds?
Let’s see…you’re in D.C., you’re a Congressman, in a crowded public place, and a guy in a suit jacket AND a cameraman ask you a direct political question after addressing you as “sir” multiple times…No jury or Judge in the land can reasonably believe the “good” Congressman felt any threat. If so, they are as corrupt as you and the old hack on this film.
Time for the lies to stop.
Time for the bright light to shine on the corruption.
Time for investigations, trials and REAL jail time for the D.C. Criminals.

SandraLee   June 14th, 2010 - 8:13 am

Goodness! That was definitely an assault.

If I went around wrestling with everyone with a camera I would be locked up!

Eric   June 14th, 2010 - 8:13 am

That man should be arrested. He had NO right laying a hand on anyone! This is UTTERLY outrageous!

clarese   June 14th, 2010 - 8:13 am

He should face charges, and be removed from his seat. I am a Democrat, and he is a disgrace for acting in that manner.

Silence   June 14th, 2010 - 8:13 am

Did the student ever get his camera back?

richard a smith   June 14th, 2010 - 8:14 am

The Congressman should be charged with crimional assualt. He had no right whatsoever to physically manhandle this student. If i were the parents i would press for criminal charges and then promptly follow-up with a civil suit. Let’s let this young man see that such conduct is not tolerated by a civil society. The Congressman is truly disgusting…..

John Campbell   June 14th, 2010 - 8:14 am

The way I see it we should download this YouTube video BEFORE it gets pulled and then call the local authorities and demand he be picked up immediately on assault charges. The victim is not the only one that can file charges. The local District Attorney is charged with that duty when the victim will not file.

Kerminator   June 14th, 2010 - 8:15 am

The kid is obviously a Hannity/Beck flunky and could’ve clearly identified his credentials any number of times. He’s not a student when classes have been over for the last three weeks. His only question was more tea bag anti Obama rhetoric. Cheers to the congressmen for not being punked by yet another group of phony patriots hiding behind their right to free speech. I love the line- “I’ll sue you”. Clearly this is the MO of the spineless foxnewsparty pioneers movement.

FedUp   June 14th, 2010 - 8:15 am

UNBELIEVABLE! This guy needs to be arrested for assault and battery – and at the very least
IMPEACHED IMMEDIATELY!
