Discussion: Could U.S. See McCain/Rice Ticket?

"The one I thought was the most interesting was Condi Rice, and you know, 8%, this is someone who has been a republican dream candidate."

Nothing will save a McCain ticket. You can just see the wheels turning in their heads – I’m sure they were eagerly trying to find a Black Jew female in a wheelchair and settled for Rice for 2 out of 4.

Rot in h3ll GOP. You left me.

McCain is forgetting that Republicans evaluate candidates based on issues, results and record. Democrats typically base decisions on identity and promises of goods and services to be received from the government.

It may be a tease move, I heard Rice wanted to be commissioner of the NFL. Heck since she’s dating a guy from Canada they can run the CFL too.

McCain is looking for strong conservatives with good records to cement things with the base. Rice is a name they’re into, so are Fred Thompson and some others.

As for the Dems crowing that the GOP is doomed, remember that it isn’t the GOP that is still fighting a trench war style scorched earth Primary right now, and the GOP hasn’t played race or gender cards at all compared to the Dems’ primary contenders using them as battle clubs on each other. (I won’t say battle axes, that would cause even more gender stress!)

The Republican way – the only way to get women and persons of African descent into the highest office.
The Republican way – Elect folks that reflect America, elect folks because of what they do and not because of their skin color or gender.
The Republican way – right on every issue since the 1860’s.

Condi has served her nation under two Presidents and, soon, she wants to leave the horrid stress of this stellar job and settle down with a hubby and enjoy collegiate cordialities again. I think that she has earned that.

John will need a strong domestic partner on the ticket and I see no one better qualified than Mitt Romney (despite all the demonization that accompanies him unfairly).

MITT ROMNEY will ultimately be to the McCain ticket what butter is to good toast.

MCCAIN & ROMNEY 2008!
