According to various polls, about only 18-28 percent of the American people like Cheney, although the majority of registered Republicans like Dick as do most self described conservatives, although many, such as Sen. Craig, deny it in public.
The fact is, though, even many of his colleagues don’t care for him. It’s widely presumed Condi doesn’t like Dick and a fact that his daughter doesn’t. And I don’t. But give me a break, this isn’t news. A guy his age nods off briefly at a meeting. Big deal.
If you attended all those boring meeting you would fall asleep too!
This isn’t a real meeting, anyhow, where anything gets done. And it’s hardly a big deal if someone’s drowsy during a meeting.
Typical, typical, typical. Look, If your so old, that you can’t stay awake during a meeting about a disaster that affected 1 MILLION people in your country, then you need to retire.
But its not about age. Its about care, grace and tact. If youre supposedly too tired, get a briefing later. Don’t insult people who have lost everything, cause all they see is apathy.
Give the guy a break for heavens sake. It must be a really slow news day if this is the best you have to report.

You have got to be kidding! This made news? To me, I could not even tell from the video, for how long he closed his eyes if at all. From the video, it could not have been more than 5 seconds, and that is news? I am curious how many of the people who have negative comments about him work as many hours (including travel time) as he does while helping to carry the weight of the nation on his shoulders with every decision that is made.
I fell asleep during the brakeing news of the fire on Tuesday, Wednesday and again today.
I wonder if anything else has happned in the world in the last three days.

Maybe if he was awake he could have prevented this whole fire storm. I am sure the media as objective as they are will find a way to blame the fires on the administration. What a difference in how the state responded to this natural disaster as opposed the Katrina.

this is in response to ted. it wouldn’t be such a boring meeting if you were part of 1,000,000 people evacuated while being surrouned on all sides by hundreds of thousands of acres up in flames. and even so…boring or not…he is the vp of the country. it’s his job to at least stay awake through the meetings whether he cares or not. it seems to me cheney’s not the only one nodding off. wake up ted, or one day soon, those who are in charge will nod off while you’re going through a catastrophe.
