Well, golly, I can see why CBS wouldn’t want this add to run . . . especially with their coffers overflowing in this robust economy and their markets shares going through the roof. It makes perfect sense to me.

Folks, let’s face it. Obama rode into the White House on the back of change, and he’s very quickly making it clear that he’s installing all of the usual suspects from the Clinton Administration: Podesta, Emmanuel, Clinton, Craig, etc. And, he’s got to pay back all of the special interests who put him there; otherwise, none of them will support him in 2012. That’s not change, that’s more of the same.

We’re going to see lots of legislation aimed at boosting the power of unions and reducing the power of corporations. Part of that isn’t bad. Oil and financial companies have been running roughshod over the economy without meaningful regulation, making record profits, and bilking the American public. But, at the same time, trying to boost the unions so that they can contribute to Democrat coffers is the ultimate in hypocrisy. Look, if companies can’t make it in the free market, then we need to face facts that perhaps they shouldn’t exist — and no amount of taxpayer money should be used to subsidize their failure.

Ordinarily, I wouldn’t care about what happens here, but some of these companies (GM, etc) have gotten so big and so bloated that the ripple effect will touch millions of average Americans. Which means people will lose their houses, families will disintegrate, and we’ll have another generation of lost Americans.

But, at the same time, it may take the United States losing its prestige, power, and financial might to convince average Americans that they have the right and obligation to DEMAND real change; not the brand of sloganeering and chicanery that was put over on them by Barack Obama and his willing puppets in the media. Like him or hate him, Obama is really an empty suit, a guy with a blank resume. I’m willing to give him the benefit of the doubt for now, but things don’t look good to me, based on who he’s putting in positions in power, and what they’re saying.

What we are seeing now is ARROGANCE arising from a failure to take the American people seriously. These people seem bent on doing what THEY want rather than what WE want for our country, and I fear that the results will be catastrophic for everyone concerned.

CBS reminds me of the old Soviet media – “All the news we want you to hear, when we want you to hear it”

The excuse used by CBS that their “viewers might be confused by the image of Pelosi” is so obviously crap as to be laughable. Does anyone with an IQ over 70 believe CBS would have accepted the ad if it had used pictures of Reagan instead of Pelosi? Naw, CBS just didn’t want to oppose Democrats and the unions.

It’s too bad that the “media buyers” for the group that made the ad couldn’t get CBS to commit their reasons for declining the ad in writing. Such a letter would have made a great jpeg.
