The Pope brings morals back to this country. Getting dressed up in all that finery and all that pomp doesn’t make him gay, that’s for religious reasons. He is right about everything he is against, baby killing, sex before marriage, sex outside of marriage, sex between gays, sex with children, abnormal sex and all that. The only thing he says is wrong is about winning the war in Iraq but he just says that because he has to its part of his religion but all religions have some wierd beliefs just like some religions make you wear hats and other religions make you take them off
Who are you going to believe, Pope Benedict or Jeremiah Wright? Why does it take non-Americans to see so clearly the exceptionalism of this great nation, when so many natives either fail to see its excellence or worse, bash it and say we are the problem. It’s strange, since I have some issues with both the Vatican and France, but the two most uplifting and praiseworthy speeches concerning the undeniable greatness of the United States of America came not from US officials but France’s Sarkozy and the Pope. In fact, if the US is seen so poorly in the eyes of other nations, then why did pro-US leaders, Merkel, Sarkozy and Berlusconi get elected and anti-US leftists get trounced?
Angela and libsukbad: there are more people who believe the way you do than we can ever know. It would be nice to just once hear it from an ELECTED official. This ongoing bad mouthing of the USA by our own people is getting old.

As a practicing Catholic I am glad the Pope is here and saying “God Bless America” However,I live in Boston where most of the Gay priests did their crimes and where it was covered up by the Church.He should have come here…even if to shake hands with some of the victims.
Also , if he gives Holy Communion to fallen phony Catholics who have broken every catholic rules…like divorce and .re-married outside of the Church…supporting abortion ..even at 9 months..supporting Homosexual marriage…like that phony pig John Kerry or that killer Ted Kennedy..or Nancy Pelosi or John Murtha etx…I will absolutely quit the church forever because it will mean that all of us who abide by the churches rules mean nothing and all our sacrifices would be spit on.I will be watching as millions of us will be.
WONDERFUL! We need more of this and if others think the different they need to ask themselves why. What is wrong with celebrating the goodness of America and the reiteration of morals and values? We hear so much negativity about America and about God, it’s nice to see this ceremony at our nation’s Capital. God, please bless this nation!

I surely will miss JPII, but Pope Benedict will also go down in history as one of the greats. How can one not be proud to be a Catholic after hearing such wonderful words of inspiration come from the Holy Father’s mouth. Also, as a few others have mentioned, what a stark contrast between this man’s message and Obama’s “spiritual advisor” (few seconds pause for laughs). Think America…THINK!! Look at all the warning signs around Obama and ask yourself if this is the direction you want your country headed in.
And finally to Craig. Do you work around paint thinners a lot? Judging by your comments you must.
This Pope has more class and understanding of the US than ALL of the Democrat presidential candidates. What a difference between the Pope and Obama’s (spiritual advisor the good rev Wright G*d D**N America). When a non citizens sees the greatness of the US,,it makes you wonder why the Democrats are so blind to our countries GREATNESS? Democrats love tells us How BAD the US is.
This speech was simply beautiful. Very uplifting, very moving. He made me think of the great things about this country when all I’m used to focusing on is how things are going to hell. This is not only an intelligent man, but a good man— a kind & loving man, who always has a positive message, even though most of this message is rejected by many as old-fashioned and no longer applicable.
This speech gives real hope, not some false hope delivered by a charlatan. You know who I mean…
