By placing a carbon tax on EVERYTHING, all forms of production and commerce will be affected. Any manufacturing. Food production (what about those fl@tulent cows?) Transportation.

Soon, you’ll have to pay a tax to just live because you exhale all of that evil CO2.

When did the EPA become more powerful than congress. The CONSTITUTION does not begin to reference the EPA. This is a scare tactic. If any congress member acts on their this bluff, they are signing their demise. Just as with any administration, the EPA leaves when the governing body leaves. The EPA needs to be investigated and rendered obsolete. We the PEOPLE do not elect these individuals when now is the time to show that we should elect these agency members.

will be tied up in the courts for years. When the U.S. Supreme Court granted authority to the EPA in 2007,
majority opinion cited scientific research to bolster the theory of man made global warming. With recent
revelations that such research was cooked (hockey stick graph and tree ring observations), the basis has already
been provided for an appeal and for the U.S. Supreme Court to revisit the topic, if necessary.

And that’s what’s supposed to happen when one branch of government (in this case the Executive) tries to
grab too much power. Now, let’s see if the system works. Time will tell.

I seem to remember in science and biology that CO2 was an essential building block in the formation of life as we know it and that a certain greenhouse effect was necessary to permit that life to thrive on this planet. Now we’re told it’s our undoing by an elite group of scientists aka; climatologists, and we must reverse the process if we’re to survive. For eons man has predicted catastrophes too awful to contemplate and every time the ‘end’ is nigh, the doomsday clock is reset until the big scare. Let’s step back from the abyss and think for a moment. Economic meltdown brought about by years of easy money(predictable),Cap and Trade legislation brought on by ‘global-warming(climate change), a Health-care ‘crisis’(not), Stimulus Plans, Bailouts and Federal spending the likes this world has never seen and the one thing that ties it all together is Mr. Obama and his magic elixir called “ACT NOW”. I would have thought that such dire circumstances would require us to act prudently and with thoughtful consideration for the consequences of our actions. I’m not a cynic but I’m a real big skeptic, and that odor you smell is not greenhouse gas, it’s bullshit.

Congress passes the laws and the Executive branch [President/EPA] enforces the laws. The Supreme Court interpreted the term “pollutant” in the Clean Air Act to be broad enough to include green house gases ie: co2, methane etc. So far all branches of govt working according to the Constitution.

Enter House Bill 391 by which Congress would amend the Clean Air Act to specifically provide that it DOES NOT include green house gases. This is the appropriate legislative response to an interpretation of the law by the Supreme Court with which the Congress does not agree. If passed this legislation would prevent the the EPA from regulating green house gases.

Please do not be snowed by members of Congress who are complicit in the EPA’s endangerment finding. They are seeking political cover by trying to convince us they have “no choice” now but to pass cap and tax to blunt the effect of the EPA’s regulations. That is bull. Their choices are: amend the Act to prevent regulation of the substance we breath out [co2], acquiese in EPA regulation under the current law as interpreted by the Supreme Court, or pass other legislation [cap and tax] which the EPA may ior may not have a role in enforcing. There are 3 clear choices, not one.

Call your Congressmen and women and tell them to support the amendment to save our economy, our jobs, our ability to pay for energy and the choice to buy and eat the food that we want to eat.
