A little rain on Al’s “global warming crisis” parade. Perhaps Al needs to spend more time with his family instead of partying with rockstars.

Notice how they tell us he was driving a Prius? AS if the Prius takes away the fact that his son has drugs.

Al III has been arrested 3 times so you know there is a very serious problem going on. Perhaps Al & Tipper should have spent more time on saving him than their bogus effort to save the planet — which is really a business to enrich themselves and boost their image.

I think it’s the violence and the glorification of drugs in music and rock videos that must be the problem. If Tipper Gore could have led the fight against drug abuse and violence in music lyrics and video games along with the PMRC, oh wait… she did.

All parents, liberal, conservative or weaving down the middle, should leave politics at the curb when a child is in crisis. For now, Al Gore is simply a father. Not a democrat or a liberal or a global crusader, just a Dad in pain.

Finger pointing, snickering, gloating or dragging out the problems of other young people as if we are in some sort of national dysfunction competition is pointless and demoralizing. Our collective energies would be better spent saying a prayer and capping it off with some thanks for our own cherished ones who are faring better as they grow into adults.

I find it sad that we seem to pounce on the parents who have tried to do much more for this country…then we parents who type our thoughts in. Our family has gone through this with drugs/booze and thank God strangers didn’t bombard us with unkindly thoughts and words. Do you know you have to separate what one does, from what one is? Duh

I do not understand why almost everyone who has had a drug problem within their family always take the high road and prefer to deal with it as a private matter. Had this intoxicated person had an accident on the San Diego freeway, injuring or killing someone, would that have been dealt with as a private matter. Instead of working so hard on Global Warming Awareness, how about speaking out loud and clear, over and over on Drug Awareness and the War on Drugs that we are losing in this country.
