The colored fellow, the next president of these here Divided States of Amerika, makes a whole lot more sense then the polygamist belicose shrew. I wish him the best of luck, and he has my vote.
How can an intelligent woman say such stupid things? All taxes are passed on to the consumer. You think the oil companies are just going to eat it? When dems talk about oil and energy, they show how clueless they are about economics and energy.
And also democrats don’t seem to know the difference between oil and gas. Oil companies don’t set the price of oil. Profit margins of gas are small.
The Earth has plenty of oil for the next few CENTURIES. Oil we have discovered. Problem is libs who won’t let us get it. If you want cheap oil and a clean environment, vote Republican.
Yeah!!! Something for nothing. She’s singing music to my ears. And yes Chuck, you too are correct; Republicans will deliver cheap oil, like it is right now.
John, you stupid twat, republicans are not to blame for oil prices now. DOLT
Dear Senator Clinton,
With all due respect, you don’t know what you are talking about! For every single dollar an American oil company earns for its shareholders, the US government takes two dollars in the form of taxes!
The US Government helps itself to the profits legitimately earned through tremendous investment, hard work and dedication by those in the oil industry. Without them, we would not have a modern nation or economy.
There is little sense in this continuing chicken little mentality about global warming, pollution, and the life, if we do not have a sustainable economy to employ, feed and transport our people.
Certainly, I don’t want to do harm to anything unnecessarily, but we have to understand that modern civilization has its price. The fact is that we cannot maintain our security, food supply, medicines and countless other things without a continous supply of reasonable priced oil.
In America, we built out our cities incorrectly by spreading them out to the horizon, instead of building them closer-in like traditional European cities that encourage walking, modern tram systems and clean, electric trains.
I don’t want to pay more for oil than is necessary, but we have to face reality. The truth is that as the dollar falls in value, the price of crude oil must go up as crude is traditionally priced in US dollars. Should this change to PetroEuros, we will be in very big trouble as our currency has been inflated by the Fed and the morons in Washington unbacked by anything tangible. Since we are importing about 70% of liquified energy supplies, our nation is at grave risk.
Instead of penalizing our oil companies, I want them to have the ability to drill wherever there is likelyhood of finding and producing additional supplies. An oil company requires substantial funds to explore, construct and produce crude. Thanks to red tape and the goody-two-whoes environmental nutcases, we have not built a new refinery in America for close to 30 years, while demand increases.
Again, we have to make up our minds as to what we want as a people. A modern nation with some pollution, minimized as much as reasonable or do we want a nation with starving, out of work and idle people who will freeze to death during the winter?
The choice is up to you!
No. I don’t have a stake in oil companies. I just know that we have to strike a balance that we can all afford to live.
“…do we want a nation with starving, out of work and idle people who will freeze to death during the winter?”
Ask a liberal this question, and he will tell you this describes current conditions in the US.
Yes, Hillary, we do understand what it is you proposing by lifting the Federal gas tax for a few months. You, however, do not understand what it is you are saying. For someone that claims to be fully ready and knowledgeable, you demonstrate a woeful ignorance of how taxes are levied and collected. Nor, it would seem, how bills are introduced into the House or Senate. Your own party would shoot down anything remotely connected with eliminating a tax with out an immediate offset being offered up. Furthermore, you and your ‘friends’ would not be able to introduce and pass such legislation until well after the November elections. Perhaps your reasoning is fuzzy due to answering the phone at 3AM. For all of you HillBilly (Hillary plus Bill) supporters, is this the person you really want answering any phonecall in the White House?
Rover the cost recoup will be in increments of of a 1/2 cent or so over time not a price mark up of 30 cents in a single day.
From what I have observed Rover you are a 14 year old working in a power plant. Now your a Corporate Costing expert. An individual of many faces I see.
Alexis excellent comment.
Looks like SoCal ‘pat-rat’ has gotten itself a new name now after he got banned by the Jew chick…
You can troll, but you can’t ‘think’…

I’ll tell you exactly how the oil companies will pay for the 18.4 cent a gallon Clinton/McCain tax holiday. They will raise gas prices 30 cents a gallon. It’s just that simple…
I do corporate costing all the time, and that’s exactly how it’s done.
