I have been waiting for this. Tonkin Gulf, Part II. I was especially alarmed to click on what looked like a photo of the occasion, and then getting a newscast without any verification. I had 9 close friends in high school. I lost 5 of them in Nam, four after Tonkin Gulf. I think if there is any escalation of this war, we open it with a mini-surge, e. g. drop Bush, Cheney and Condi behind enemy lines, along with Perle and all their neocon strategists. We need to act wtih restraint and not jingoism. I think it was the military that leaked the news that Iran had stopped bombmaking in 2003 to stop Bush. It is his war. He should be leading all charges.

The US Navy knows when to open fire and apparently was ready willing and able to open fire when the attackers backed away. Allah and all those virgins will just have to wait.
