Why does the rest of America have to fund the reparations of New Orleans??? We chose not to live there because of the high risk of environmental disasters, but now we get to pay for the damages… This seems absurd. If you want to live several feet under sea level then you should be able to foot the bill for the insurance that is demanded for your location. I sympathize with the profound predicament that you have had to overcome, but it is not fair that I have to foot the bill for it through taxation. Think about the rest of us
