Police had arrested Robert Dean Roethlisberger Jr., 44, of Missouri near the Mall of Georgia on the day after Thanksgiving, when he refused to remove images on a "Truth Truck" owned by Operation Rescue, an anti-abortion group.

The fuzzy image shown in this video clip didn’t seem offensive at all – maybe I missed something. Regardless of where you stand on abortion, it is scary when you can be arrested for displaying something on your vehicle that might offend someone. I’m glad to hear that charges were ultimately dropped. After all, I see nude pin-ups on mudflaps all the time, and it’s becoming commonplace to see the F-word on bumper stickers, yet I’ve never seen anyone arrested for that.

As an aside, the related story says the police impound lot pulled off all the pictures. Now that charges have been dropped, do they have to replace them? Wow, what irony if the arresting officer had to replace what had been destroyed!

In a politically correct society, it seems to be a crime to put people face to face with the choices they make and the consequences to other unborn people when they make them. Everything is disposable nowadays, to include the condom that you didn’t use and the children that don’t fit into your little selfish lifeplan. Just vacuum them out and go get some Starbucks.

He shouldn’t be punished. Doesn’t he have a right to express his opinion? Likewise, people may ignore it, agree or disagree, or even express another opinion. This is still the USA, isn’t it?

They arrest him and call his pictures “Obscene and vulgar”… What does that say about the practice of abortion?! You guessed it.

What is vulgar and obscene is the behavior that leads to the destruction of the preonates in a grotesquely cruel way. The same motivations for murder, years later, are at play when these lives are taken for convenience.

Had the truck featured movie posters of Brokeback Mountain scenes showing two male cowboys smooching the patrolman would likely have stopped traffic to let it pass.

What in the world are we doing in the US? 14 year olds can watch cable tv, porn on the internet, etc. so if we are going to be consistent then we should lock up all the pornography producers as well. However, we all know that will not happen because we are the most inconsistent Nation on the face of the earth and I actually love the US. God have mercy on us!

The abortion is what is “vulgar and obscene,” as well as the attitude of the corrupt PC police force.

The cops ought to be sued for violating this guy’s civil rights, and locked up if appropriate.

Apparently cops, working on behalf of the Godless PC bunch, don’t like it when the murder of the unborn is shown to the public.

Well, tough luck, cops. Take your baby-killing tyranny somewhere else.
