Ummm…that the scientists have “known” there is water on Mars…hmmmmm…if so, why go there searching frantically for it?
Why such deep desperation?
Doesnt make sense.
And because something looks like ice doesnt mean it is…I mean, for pete’s sake, this is a completely different planet, different atmosphere.
My assumption is that one would expect to see oddities and abnormalities withouth automatically labeling it with a preconceived notion without fully testing it first.
In the very least, try USING the scientific method. Crappy theories would have been dead long ago, but lo and behold, we still teach spontaneous generation through the big bang theory!
Sheeesh…where did all our precious logic go?

They have known there is water ice on mars for many years now… How many times to they have to “rediscover” that?
Since the temperature on the probe goes from -32C to -79C, they are probably looking at frozen CO2…
Since Bush has stressed the budgets an installed a few ‘brownie’ types in NASA’s management, “making news” seems to be a new mission for NASA…
