These are some of the cheapest shots I have ever seen or heard against someone’s good points! How dare that coward and fool Wesley Clark deride McCain’s service simply for political reasons! So much for one military man watching out for another one’s back! I always voted Democrat in the past, but McCain is getting my vote this time, in no small part because of the way that Democrats have abandoned every sense of decency and honesty just to win this time around. This is disgusting behavior and it will ultimately cost them the election, because Americans don’t like this sort of abandoning of honesty and principle. They have so little to attack McCain on, and once the “age” thing and the “Bush’s third term” thing don’t work, I’m surprised they aren’t saying that McCain had incestuous relations with his mother. McCain’s service to our country does show courage, and that can’t really be disputed, but what CAN be disputed is if that same service, of which 5 years was as a POW, gives him the qualifications to be President. If that was the case, anyone else who was a war prisoner could be right up there with him running for President.

John McCain is running his campaign based solely on his military experience and record. That being said, then that same military record is subject to scrutiny by the American people! And John McCain has yet to even release the entirety of his military record, some 600+ pages? Why? What is he hiding? If you are gonna run on your military record, then be forthcoming about it and let the American people decide for themselves Sen McCain.

Wesley Clark did not disparage John McCain’s military record, he was only making a factual statement when he said that being shot down doesn’t give you the qualifications you need to be POTUS. Because it doesn’t. Period. THE END.

This is insane. It’s amazing what the Democrats will do to try and get an edge. I’m a Conservative and this is the reason I despise most Democrats (but not all are bad). And what amazes me is all the while Obama is out there speaking about how “no one should question McCain’s patriotism” playing holier-than-thou. This is all a huge front to make Obama look better. McCain has military service. He was a POW (which I believe that counts as life experience which is critical if someone wants to be president). He has years of political experience. He’s actually be involved in bills that have helped the nation. What has Obama done… oh yeah. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

I am enraged at this guy’s ranting. “Experience the turmoil” or the “challenges” of the Viet Nam war? McCain had the closest such experience that is possible to have. Anyone that served Honorably in Vietnam doesn’t deserve to have their circumstances examined by simple minded ex-hippies or draft dodgers. I will include in this posting the Supreme NATO Commander under President Clinton. Yes, he is a decorated Vet, but as many enlisted men realize – medals come easy to career Officers. A fighter pilot in Vietnam was actually a real hero, dodging missiles and triple A was a daily occurrence for them. At least, the infantry soldier or Marine could attempt to seek cover. Not the pilots, their protection was sheet metal and rivets, plus an ejection seat with a parachute.
Many pilots were executed at the crash site and in McCain’s case he was almost beaten to death by civilians.
He was then locked in an isolation cell and removed occasionally for severe beatings and other forms of torture. Yep, A 5 year vacation.
Say what you will, I have no control over the vile words and stupid comments that you make about a True American Hero. You. the critics are the “nut jobs” that aren’t fit to shine the shoes of John McCain.

I find it amazing that this man says he appreciates the sacrifices the people in the Armed Services make. He absolutely has no clue what those sacrifices are. For him or Clark (I would use his rank but he lost the little bit of respect I had for him, and I am a retired officer)to say anything about Sen. McCain’s service is beyond belief. I think it would be interesting to know why Clark was “RELIEVED OF COMMAND” while serving as NATO Commander by Pres. Clinton. After explaining this he may have standing to criticize others.He is just looking for a spot should Obama win.

By the time McCain was released, Obama was living in Indonesia for another three years — also not feeling the “turmoil” of the American 60s experience.

Having served in the military for twenty-three years those idiots out there that question John McCain’s courage and patriotism should know that as a result of the torture and questioning our prisoners went through in Viet Nam, holding back what amounted to useless information, a new standard was adopted by the military. It now says hold back on mission critical information until the end of your units mission. In the mean time tell them anything, especial volumes of useless information and even make ridiculous admissions of guilt that can be clearly linked to torture and discredited later. Proof of this was the actions of our captured pilots in the Gulf War. John McCain held to a higher standard and only broke when near death. If we are to question giving information to the enemy and aiding them in war time then we need to start with the New York Times and several other news organizations as well as many in our political parties who give away vital secrets to gain favor with the press.

I was not a McCain supporter at all….but these under-handed schemes by Obama are so apparent! Send out a politicial X military person to run down McCain..then Obama comes out and says he is so respectful of McCain! That is the old USSR way! The apple does not fall from the tree!
