Can you say ‘Class Warfare’?
So, nearly a quarter of McCain’s tax cuts go to those who earn more than $2.8 million a year. That means three quarters (that’s 75% for those of you who graduated from government schools) will go to those who earn less than $2.8 million. Last time I checked, people didn’t have indigent individuals providing their wages. A tax system that rewards wealth is a way to encourage others to become wealthy. Considering the top 50% of wage earners in this country pay around 96% of all tax receipts to the government, I would say they are paying more than their “fair share.” When half the wage earners pay 24 times the amount of the other half of wage earners pay, I would say there is an imbalance.
McCain wants to repeal the Alternative Minimum Tax. Doing so would save “middle class” families (as in the people in that auditorium in the video) nearly $60 billion in a single year. McCain also wants to put an end to the practice of earmarks. That’s billions more in wasteful spending that Democrats (and Senator Ted Stevens (R-Alaska) who should receive a swift kick in the pants) keep inserting into bills. The fact that the “rich” don’t take their money and shove it under a mattress is lost on Obama and the Democrats in general. The “rich” invest their money by either buying stocks or buying goods. Either way, people get hired to make more goods. So, a “rich” person getting money ends up giving a person a job, which comes with a paycheck. The “rich” work for their money too. They give up their time to earn an education. They work hard during each week to make a profit for their company. Obama needs to learn that the “rich” work. It’s not just the “middle class” that works.
If this wealth redistribution plan of Obama’s get’s put into effect, unemployment will skyrocket, investment will drop through the floor, the “rich” will move to a country where they won’t be overtaxed, and the government will go bankrupt trying to pay for the billions in handouts used to buy votes.
I’m not voting for McCain. I’m voting against Obama. Capitalism wins against Socialism.
