What we see with the national sentiment swinging back towards the left is: Charity isn’t enough/isn’t working. We’re going to use the apparatus of the people e.g. the government, to help out the less fortunate of our fellow citizens.

The fact that minorites are protected from majorities is from a different aspect of the system. That’s because we have a bill of rights, all the amendments, and a Supreme Court that makes sure laws passed by the majority are Constitutional. Hey look at me I took Government.

Obama is either ignorant or an idiot. Privatizing social security doesn’t mean you jump into the stock market. Do the math! Currently, social security, managed by the government, provides a return of about 1%. Heck, buy a AAA insured municipal bond and triple the return with LESS risk.

There is more risk letting the government mange you money than buying a AAA insured municipal bond. This is crazy.

Obama wants to continue to run social security because he uses YOUR cash for other government wants.
