420… Flight 420, ‘The High and the Mighty’, 1954. With John Wayne and Robert Stack.
Maybe the police had better things to do. like deal with violent criminals. just a thought.
A properly timed bomb would really light up the audience…
And probably save society in the process.
yea, detonating a bomb that kills 10,000 americans would save society…. in what way, Carl Parsons, did this group of people smoking weed do any harm to you or anyone else? if you hadn’t seen this video, would your day or life be any worse off? the answer is no, so stop complaining.
There’s a bunch of losers that won’t be taking high-paying jobs. Parents…don’t support these communist-creating institutions.
This nation did not falter from the legalization of alcohol after the mistake that was prohibition. I think future history will judge prohibiting marijuana in the same light.
Most anti-marijuana talking points are those propagated from the Alcohol and Tobacco lobbies.
Furthermore, if anyone feels threatened by some college kids smoking weed, they obviously haven’t been to college because the professors smoke more than the students do
It should be legalized and regulated for impurities. That would drive crime down, increase corporate profits and lower taxes spent on the legal costs of prosecuting non-violent drug offenders.
Would a cop rather deal with 10,000 peaceful, silly stoners or 10,000 amped-up drinkers at a CU football game? Even 10,000 on caffiene would be more rowdy.
End this costly, idiotic prohibition. When pot was legalized in The Netherlands, crime AND pot usgage both went down. Save the police time and jails for real criminals – like those who lie and invade other countries.
Simply solution…fine the University for every student that should be charged…see if they allow this crap again next year!
DISGRACEFUL…and these are our future “educated” leaders…what a joke!
joke of the day: What is crazier than 10,000 college students smoking pot on Hitlers birthday???
A: the people that make comments on Breitbart about 10,000 students smoking pot on Hitlers birthday.
leave the hippies alone (i am a god fearin, gun lovin redneck and trust me… hippies are the least you have to worry about)
Why aren’t these dope-smoking hippies rounded up and charged with possession? You can’t enforce the law because the group is large?!
This is more than just people smoking pot. 1) It is happening at a place that recieves tax payer money. 2) Like it or not, it is still illegal. 3)It is full of hippies. 4) They are registering stoned people to vote, and call me crazy, but I bet for Democrats. 5) They are endorsing civil disobedience. Go ahead, legalize all drugs. But if it effects me or causes an accident, I say 30 years imprisonment. I grew up with pot addicts as a child. Talk about more attention to a plant than an only child. It would just be bad news for our society to legalize drugs. And why stop at pot? Why not coke or crack or heroin? If it does not hurt other people, then why not allow it? The Liberals use that BS line all the time. This is a slippery slope if there ever was one. The slope is extremely gradual but it does exist. That is a fact, which has been proven time and time again.
Get a life people especially you tight-rearended nitwits suggesting blowing up the patrons or expelling them. You good like Fascists will fall into line quickly when the Black Booted Thugs show up at your door asking for your papers.
Who & where has this exhaustive research on the
“safety” of pot…? (impartial research studies only please)
Bah, Good on them. There is no reason for a plant to be outlawed. Conservatives for the Legalization Of Marijuana. AKA CLAM
Haha yes, arrest them all. Then complain and moan about the taxes that will pay for it.
So, let me get that straight. You can get expelled if you bring a Bible on some campuses, but it’s ok if you bring pot?
This country will fall not because of terrorism, economy, unemployment or any other kind of crisis, but by the very left-leaning ideas that become the norm in a sick society.
In the meantime, I’m gonna cling to my guns and religion without any bitterness, and watch these nuts destroy themselves.
Great! What a wonderful thing to promote about CU/Boulder just as thousands of parents and their soon-to-be college freshman are making the tough choice about college before the May 1 deadline.
How in the world does this promote the Flagship 2030 goals of CU? If CU wants to be a world class university, its students and its administration need to act more like world class citizens. With so many pressing issues it the world today, I can’t believe that getting stoned on Farrand Field is the best they can come up with.
The first drug law was up in San Francisco, where the early town fathers took umbrage with their lady folk running off each afternoon to opium dens. Since these dens were run by Chinese, and since the Chinese were no longer needed now that the railways were complete, What better way to make their lives miserable enough to seek a life elsewhere then to make opium illegal within San Francisco. After prohibition another bogey man was needed, several if possible, with the result being the Barney Fife division of federal law enforcement agencies… the ATF. Have a nice day, as you watch them whittle away at your liberties.
The voters pulled the plug on most marijuana enforcement in Colorado. A number of police departments are being sued for damaging people’s pot and equipment used to grow it. Any one with a prescription who fills out the paper work can by it at local drug stores.
Everyone got tired of spending resources fighting pot while people like Carl Parsons are on the loose.
The typical starting salary of a Colorado University engineering graduate is $55,000.
For some reason, even though marijuana has been one of the longest used medicinal plants in history, society has not fallen as Carl Parsons seems to feel it will. In fact, I feel that society has definately taken a turn for the worse since it became criminalized. How anyone could agree that a pot smoker deserves to be in the same jail as murderers, rapists and alike is far beyond me. Total waste of taxpayers money and a total waste of police force and time. I bet half the people here bashing weed binge drank in college. If someone wants to smoke pot it should be fully up to them.
Its time for the draconian laws based on government propaganda to change. Good work to all who showed and got some light to the subject.
Oh, and by the way…Boulder was voted the smartest city in the country this year. Not too bad for a bunch of liberal potheads.
..pretty sure they passed a law legalizing the possession of small amounts…..
….and do a quick search on the health risks vs. tobacco or alcohol…
Simple. Cut off any and all federal funding to the University. Want to get high and break the law, then don’t do it on my dime.

It’s just pot. Get over it. The government spends their money arresting pot smokers for doing nothing but enjoying a plant. Man made alcohol, God made weed, in God we trust
there sure is a lot of crying. Is anyone else aware that alcohol is legal? The hypocrisy and ignorance is astonishing.
Next thing you know these kids will be having SEX! OMG SEX! let’s talk about pressing world issues and all these kids want to do is have sex!
Geeze some of you people need to get out more.
So Carl and Ruiz want to would blow up 10,000 young adults for smoking weed? A jeeze Adolf and Stalin, they are bad bad adolescents aren’t they? Not the master race you want for the world huh nut jobs.
Another mentions religion…. ok “Bin Laden” lets get rid of those that don’t fit and follow the interpretation of your story book as you see it to be true!
Jeeze I am a life long republican who has always laughed at the amount of money and effort wasted on what amounts to the alcohol alternative for many people.
Legalize the stuff… tax it… for Christ sake the war on it has created gangs with enough wealth to kill heads of state. Enough insanity… legalize the stuff and make it a legal part of the economy.
With our ag Universities in this country it will be great stuff in two generations…. and people will laugh about the time long ago when Mary Jane was treated in the same manner alcohol was during prohibition.
Don’t smoke it… still own guns… served my country in the US Marines so the constitution could protect all of us, and if this is what some people want to talk about with civil disobedience so be it!
Sooner or later someone will come up with a way for real conservative nut jobs to get laid so they are not so damn pissed about everything. Especially the small stuff like OOOOOOOO college students smoking some pot!
Sorry Ruiz,,,, I see I misread you take on it…. glad to see I am not the only one that found the bomb statement stupid.
I like that one chick in the tan bikini top…she’s smokin’,alright.
Ya know…I know a couple who smoke dope every day and have been doing that since the early 80’s…guess what? They’re addicted to marijuana.
The young tokers on the video are jokers…
The reason that MJ is illegal is because it can not be tested in the field if someone chooses to drive under the influence of Marijuana. If you drive while high, you do not have the ability to think clearly and prevent an accident that may be preventable if you were sober.
So if we can develop a way to field test marijuana intoxication, it should be as legal as booze is. It is, afterall, a plant that needs no human intervention to make it an intoxicant, unlike alcoholic beverages. It has too many medical benefits – far more than alcohol – for it to remain categorically illegal.
Another option is to prescribe it and control it in the same way that pain killing, arthritis, and migrane medications are.
But as it stands now, it is illegal whether you like it or not. If you don’t like it, move to a place that does not punish people for growing it for personal use and using it responsibly – like Alaska.
“Sooner or later someone will come up with a way for real conservative nut jobs to get laid so they are not so damn pissed about everything. Especially the small stuff like OOOOOOOO college students smoking some pot!”
Well we do get laid, quite often as a matter of fact. Just happens to be with the same person over a long time span. And we are just pissed at Liberalism, and our view that it is making a mess out of our society. And this is more than just some college students smoking some pot. This is 10,000 people at an illegal event glorifiying, breaking the law, out in the open, at a place that accepts tax payer funding. Cut any and all federal funding to this school.
O my god people 420 was/is a tradition at San Rafael Highschool. It was first developed in the 70’s, when, everyday, a group of kids would smoke at 420. SR is right next to my house.
don’t get mad about the fact that your not kool enough to smoke pot.HHHHHAAAAAAARRRRRRRAAAAAAA!!!!for potheads around the world!DON’T HATE THE FREE WORLD!420 out!
Last year CU posted pictures of students smoking weed and offered rewards to other students to turn in their friends. It didn’t work out so well. One year they turned the sprinklers on when the event was at Farrand Field and as a result the students simply relocated to where the event was held this year, the Norlin Quad which has a capacity much larger than that at Farrand Field, so the school’s actions actually created a larger event.
I was there, the weather was great, the girls beautiful, I saw some old buddies and it we were Rocky Mountain High. And the alcohol and tobacco industries are not the ones preventing the legalization of Marijuana.
CU Class of 06
You guys talk about breaking the law as if its the most important issue. Law is not a definite good. Slavery used to be legal. Just because pot is illegal doesn’t necessarily mean it’s bad, and you need to get your head around that.
I favor pot over alcohol any day. Legalize it, regulate it, tax it, and see how much money it will flow into the broken American economy.
Legalize it!
You guys talk about breaking the law as if its the most important issue. Law is not the decider of good and bad. Slavery used to be legal. Just because something is illegal, doesnt necessarily mean its bad. Pot is illegal, but there are plenty of worse things that are legal (alcohol comes to mind first).
Legalize it, regulate it, tax it, and see how much cash will flow into the broken American economy. Let alone reduce crime.
…legalize it
To the Christianettes who would defile God by judging others.
Do not dare to place yourselves on the judgement throne of God
and play the role of the accuser. Say no to the Accuser and his demons.
Turn your back to the evil one and his hateful tongue. Jesus came to bring hope and joy. Speak with hope and joy and reflect his glory.
Liberty is our most precious gift. Cherish it in others or lose it in yourself.
As a scientist I can say that it is the least harmful of all mood altering substances.
“To the Christianettes who would defile God by judging others.
Do not dare to place yourselves on the judgement throne of God
and play the role of the accuser. Say no to the Accuser and his demons.”
I can judge, I cannot condemn. Only God can. I say love thy neighbor, and I love them by telling them when they are sinning.
And, it seems that you are misreading the Bible.
“2For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
3And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
4Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
5Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.”
It means, don’t judge someone’s sin, if you sin the same. Don’t be a hypocrite.
2291 The use of drugs inflicts very grave damage on human health and life. Their use, except on strictly therapeutic grounds, is a grave offense. Clandestine production of and trafficking in drugs are scandalous practices. They constitute direct co-operation in evil, since they encourage people to practices gravely contrary to the moral law.

Why not identify all the law breakers on the video, then charge them. Also they could be expelled from this joke of a university.
