Paul Ryan is one of the smartest men in Washington. I wish he would run for President.
Hey, stupid congressman, that all depends upon who you put up against him. Put Palin on the ticket and you are guaranteed another four years of Obama.
Republican voter: Dumb troll. Go back down in the basement stupid.
Hagar…”Go back down in the basement stupid.”
I doubt RV ever leaves his Mom’s basement.
couch: I’m sure you’re right. Some peoples kids, huh?
Obama is the disaster many of us true conservatives knew he would be long before the election of 08. Any true conservative (especially Sarah Palin) will kick the crap out of him in the next Presidential election!
Sarah Palin for President in 2012!
if all primaries were held on the same day,as it is with the general election, neither obama or mccain would have been it the running.
states need to change their primaries to the same date.
“Republican voter December 14th, 2009 – 12:24 pm
Hey, stupid congressman, that all depends upon who you put up against him. Put Palin on the ticket and you are guaranteed another four years of Obama.”
Very true.
Anyone who thinks this Amateur Hour Oracle, who has all but destroyed any hope for our children and grandchildren’s future, will be re-elected is swilling the Kool-Aid and will go down with this Marxist TWIT! He is DONE!! Change and Hope your *ss!!
MINUS (NEGATIVE) 19 % approval for that idiot kid socialist president Barry Obama.
Now arent you glad you voted for the black guy, just because he was black?
Hagar and Couch Potato,
If you think that Palin is the answer to removing Obama from office, you are sadly mistaken. Continue to push this empty-headed woman and the 2012 election will be a landslide—in favor of Obama. The only way that he can lose to her is if the entire economy collapses and we sink into a deep depression. All economic indicators show that this is not going to happen. Republicans need our own version of “hope and change”. The country pretty much rejected Palin the last time and she was only number two on the ticket. She will be destroyed if she runs at the top and will take the rest of the GOP with her.
A lot of Republicans and conservatives do not like this woman. We are not in “mom’s basement”, either. Other is an example. If you have read his postings you will find that he is hardly a liberal living in his mother’s basement. Perhaps you should get off of the couch and get out of yours.
Even if his his approval ratings are @ 10% when the primaries begin next year….All he will have to do is start giving speeches for 4-5 months and people will be crying and swooning and crying – then his approval ratings will soar above 60% – and then – he gets elected. Everything is symbolism with these fools – NO SUBSTANCE!!!!
You say Palin is an empty headed woman?
Lets see you throw up your accomplishments on this board buddy?
Palin has more executive experience than you (I AM POSITIVE OF THAT) and 0bama.
Obama was never a Governor of a State and at best he is a Chicago Thug Community Organizer.
Go blow off somewhere else, you loser!
As a teacher I grade Obama with a “W” for withdrawal not deserving of a grade. Has withdrawn from his campaign pledges and at this point he does not deserve a letter grade or an incomplete. There is no way he would be elected President if the vote were today. He is One Big A$$ed Mistake for America.
Too many dumbed down idiots like Peggy the Moocher and Henrietta Hughes out there. Bread and circuses is all we’re going to get until the fall.
America…I think we should all write to Santa to get a new election today…would that not be the ultimate Christmas gift?
In the meantime, Congressman Ryan, and others in the Congress…why are you not instead asking for that “original” birth certificate?
Why don’t you put your phoney, baloney political lives on the line like “real” Americans are doing every day!
You still have power and influence even though you are not in the majority…there are still things you “can” do to get rid of this fraud…why are you not?
————————
THE REVOLUTION OF THE SILENT MAJORITY!
1. GETTING INFORMED
2. GETTING INVOLVED
3. GETTING OUT THE VOTE
WE WILL REMOVE THE ‘MENTALLY UNSTABLE’ DEMOCRATZI STARTING WITH NEW JERSEY AND VIRGINIA IN 2009, INTO 2010 AND BEYOND…GUARANTEED!
IMPEACHMENT OR THE ‘ORIGINAL’ KENYAN BIRTH CERTIFICATE…IT IS JUST A MATTER OF TIME!
SIGNED: T H E C O N S T I T U T I O N P A R T Y
I’m sorry, while Sarah Palin is accomplished, and clearly a conservative, she is not a national leader. She is a great at rallying people and really pisses off leftist; a quality I really appreciate. I think Andrew Breitbart has the right idea on what she can do to help the country, We need her on daytime TV. We need her to to be there showing what “spirit” really is. We need her to tell the story’s of America, instead of the bullshit being pushed today on TV. If you want to take back the party from the moderates and the lunatics you need a leader, and a leader we do not have……yet.
The folks who voted for Zero didn’t realize he was actually saying “Hoax and Chump Change.”
============================================> HEY, ANYONE WHO THINKS ‘Republicans Are Good’, Watch This—> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Yx9NRX37SM <— WATCH THIS whole thing and STOP SHOWING all of us how IGNORANT you are!!!
“The country pretty much rejected Palin the last time and she was only number two on the ticket. ”
Not true. She gave an enormous bump to McCain at the polls.
She isn’t stupid nor an airhead. She just comes across as to simple. Its appealing to many but not enough to raise her to President.
The Republican candidate should have credentials that neither Obama and Palin have – national accomplishments.
Dear “Wrong”,
Your logic is flawed. MY executive experience has no relevance in this discussion; nor does yours. Neither of us is running for higher office. Palin is. I submit to you that her executive experience is very limited at best. Remember that she QUIT as governor of Alaska after serving for a little more than two years. Alaska is one of the smallest states in the Union considering population and gets a large amount of capital from its natural resources. Running that state is not terribly difficult compared to some states like California, New Jersey, or New York. Mr. Obama is not a Republican; Palin is. My concern is the qualifications of MY candidates.
Temple62 gives Obama a “W” for his grade thus far. Actually, a more appropriate grade may be an “I” for “incomplete”. Palin deserves a “W” since she “withdrew” when she quit.
“A lot of Republicans and conservatives do not like this woman.”
I’m sure this is true, just as I’m certain alot of Republicans suffer from Cranial Rectitus (a condition primarily affecting human beings which, causes an uncontrolable desire for one to insert their head firmly inside their own rectal cavity, causing the deprivation of vital resources needed for proper brain functionality, and, as a side note, is not covered by any current healthcare reform plans, and even though there is slight exposure to CO2 and Methane is not covered by Cap and Trade legislation either).
This is one of many problems with the Grand Ol’ Party today. They keep looking for the “Hope and Change” candidate of the Republican Party, by seeking out a lot of the “Same-ol’-Same” candidates, and then they wonder why they keeping getting the “Same-ol’-Same” results.
We need more solidarity as well a willingness to try different approaches to how we opperate as a party. We have a perfect “Hope and Change” candidate in Sarah Palin. I don’t care what you personaly think about her. Take a look at her popularity, her endurance, and her intestinal fortatude. The party needs to get behind her instead of tearing her apart. They need to take her, and teach her, train her, make use of her popularity and desire, and turn her into the candidate that we need in 2012.
Instead of sitting around on our rear-ends, crying about not having strong candidates for president, while we tear apart the few we do have (the ones that haven’t destroyed themselves), we need to get out their, get behind the candidates we do have, and do the work ourselfs to turn them into the candidates we need.
Other,
I agree with you that she gave McCain a large bump initially. In subsequent weeks, however, I think that her inability to handle her role cost him and he lost that bump and more as a result. Moderate Independents and Republicans turned away from that ticket. Perhaps you are correct and she is not as air-headed as she seems but the fact that she comes across that way pretty much dooms her chances of winning. If you want to challenge Obama in the next election, you will need the candidate with the credentials that you mention.
THE ELECTION AIN’T TODAY!!!!
Dumb@$$es.
I’m not going to disagree with RV above, however I have far more respect for Gov Palin than RV has. Gov Palin’s talents may best be used as a rallying point for the GOP/conservatives. Her opinion could help keep the GOP message on track and not stray us into the amnesty-for-illegals nor healthcare-lite areas.
If the GOP has it’s way, they would get behind a Peggy Noonan-style republican. We don’t need that. We need a back to the basics person that can articulate the message. Reagan lived that message and therefore he was comfortable with it when debating. Who can the GOP count on for that enthusiasm for liberty/freedom? Well, Gov Palin is one.
We should also strongly suggest to the RNC that they not open the primaries up to non-registered Republicans.
We should also insist that Huckabee not be allowed to run in the primaries until he gets another governorship or senate seat and he shows conservative leadership in those roles.

This post was mentioned on Twitter by tasteofaz: Rep. Ryan: Obama Would Lose if Election Were Held Today http://tinyurl.com/ybnxown NO KIDDING!!!!…
Republican voter: And with all of your political savvy, who would you suggest running against Obama RV???
Actually, Obama wouldn’t have gotten elected if the election was held 8 months ago.
H2K,
I am not saying that Palin should not have a role in GOP politics. What I am saying is that she should limit that role to the functions that you mentioned: fund raising and rallying the base. But please leave her off of the ticket! There has got to be someone else out there who can lead the GOP. You may not like the idea of a luke warm conservative but that person would be more electable and still be much more preferable than a liberal Democrat for most Republicans.
Hagar,
Right now I like Pawlenty, Crist, and even Jeb Bush or possibly Romney. I used to like Huckabee but now don’t see him as a viable option. Perhaps someone else will come forward in the next year. Santorum is also making some interesting moves lately but the fact that he lost his last election makes him less attractive.
I would vote for any Democrat or Republican who has a half mind to the people and who would uphold the constitution. People this isn’t about your beloved Dem or Republican it’s about our country. First thing is to get rid of every dam Marxist Socialist pig in Congress and the Senate (NOV 2, 2010) and put a stop to this Pork Barrel spending and these stupid laws they keep passing, stop these dam bailouts for the crooks, put Barney Franks, Chris Dodd and any other crook who has cut the deals these jerks have made, Mrs. Pelosi and Harry Reid need to go to prision, and then get rid of Erckle in 2012. http://www.givemeliberty2010.com
RV: Well, I like Pawlenty, having voted for him for Governor, but I think he should run for Senator first, and get rid of Frankin….:) I think he did a good job as Governor, but I don’t think he is ready for President yet. I just don’t see another Bush being allowed into the office. I voted for both Bushes, but
I don’t know about Jeb…
Palin should replace Michael Steele as head of the party. Bring back some conservatism.
Other: I like that idea…
Funny, I’m still waiting for the race riots you all promised would happen when he got elected. I don’t recall Islam being established as our state religion yet. Your pathetic wailing must be hiding the sound of everyone praying towards Mecca. Remarkably, after Obama has turned out to be exactly the same as every other political jackass we have in this country, you continue to whine. Regardless, we are left with one unassailable truth…at least he isn’t a Bush.
“Morons December 14th, 2009 – 3:50 pm
Regardless, we are left with one unassailable truth…at least he isn’t a Bush.”
Agreed. His poll numbers are worse than Bushs were at this point in his administration. Perhaps if he works harder he can be as good a Bush.
[...] Breitbart TV: Rep. Ryan: Obama Would Lose if Election Were Held Today [...]
Republican Voter: Palin didn’t lose the election McCain did. If VPs are so important, how did Obama get elected? Your thoughts seem to parrot the State Run Media, you may be a rhino, but you are no conservative. If you are waiting for a strong principled conservative to lead the party that is praised by the State Run Media, don’t know how old you are, but it’s not going to happen. The alphabet networks have ravaged Governor Palin for a reason, they treat her the same way they treat black conservatives. There is nothing they fear more than a principled conservative, unless that same person is either black or a woman. I personally am much less concerned about what happens in 2012 than I am from now until the next election. If conservatives aren’t able to make monumental gains in the house and senate next year, it’s not going to matter anyway. We know what you’re up to and we are learning from you everyday.
Morons: You must have been watching the MSM again. You’ll never get the truth from them. Any riots will be due to the idiot in office, especially if this health care reform, or cap and trade make it through. You better hope they don’t, because a lot more people will be out of work, and looking for someone to blame…. This will be a prime excuse for riots.
What a hoot Crist, Jeb Bush, Tim Pawlenty, not going to happen. Have you noticed republicans polling behind conservatives, we’re not holding our noses again. If that’s the best you got to offer, let’s just keep what we got.
Hagar,
I agree that the Bush name would be a liability but I still think that Jeb was the most talented of the three and may be able to overcome his name if given sufficient exposure. I disagree with you on Pawlenty. I think that he is ready now. Clearly if Palin is thought to be ready, he is. He has been governor longer and has done a nice job as well. He also didn’t quit. Charlie Crist is also a good man. The more exposure people like Pawlenty and Crist get, the better it is for the GOP. They are young, talented, and sharp. Somebody (anybody) else can beat Frankin. I don’t want to tie up Pawlenty for six years when we have bigger fish to fry.
Freedom rocks,
So you would want another four years of Obama rather than Crist, Pawlenty, or Jeb? Conservatives cannot win by themselves. We have to get together on this or we will lose.
Also VP’s are important when the main guy is older and has a history of cancer. The chance of the VP becoming president is much greater in the case of John than it was with Obama. The thought of Palin in the Oval Office terrified a lot of people who normally would have voted for McCain.
Darn right- Obama is a joke. and will hopefully lose his base in 2010 and his position in 2012.
With real conservatives in numbers in congress, absolutely if according to you we must have a socailist in the White House, I had just as soon he or she be a democrat. There is some working together going on, I agree with that, the goal of the opposition is one party rule, by any means possible, up to and including planting candidates in the opposition party, don’t tell me you believe Dede Scozafava was a moderate.
###############################
If Christmas was on the 26th it would be boxing day , what in hells name is he taliking about.
What a TOOL.
So what you’re telling me is, you don’t have a problem with socialism, you just want to slow they pace a little. There are many more conservative democrats than you realize republican voter, and they will vote for a real conservative, from either party. We don’t need two socialist parties, one is quite enough.
I would give him an A when it comes to pulling the wool over the people’s eyes, that is until now. His numbers are falling like a rock and his opposition doesn’t need to do anything to keep that going, he is doing it all himself.

Freedom,
Actually the country seems to work best when the White House is represented by one party and the Congress is represented by the other. That way they have to get together to get things done and no one agenda gets preference.
McCain has CLL. He can live to 100 with that. His mother is near 100. Obamas parents both died early.
Once the WH doctor released Obamas medical status it was shown that McCain was healthier.
I agree the perception was that McCain was frail, but it wasnt the truth.
republican voter: You tell me that rhino republicans stayed home, because they were afraid of Palin, not Obama. Do you have any idea how many millions of conservatives held their nose to vote for McCain a good man just not the right man, and now you want us to do that all over again? No one would even have known who McCain was if not for the media time he scored for voting with the democrats.
republican voter: @4:50 you make my point. Yes we would be better off if we could choose regaining control of the legislative branch rather than the whitehouse.
@4:50 getting back to my earlier post, you really don’t have a problem with socailism do you?
Palin is a likable person, but that doesn’t make her the best Republican candidate in 2012. You’ve all apparently missed the recent December 7th Rasmussen poll that indicates the average voter currently prefers tea party candidates over Republican candidates. (Thusly split, Democrat candidates have a significant advantage). The tea party movement finds its roots in paleo-conservatism, not Republican neo-conservatism. Palin, while a little to the right of neo-conservatism, is basiscally another neo-con. (If a voter doesn’t understand what this all means, he or she needs to do some due diligence before voting. It’s this lack of understanding that continues to make possible tragic presidential candidacies, such as McCain’s).
To escape the jaws of the globalist plutarchs who hand-picked both Bush and Obama, America needs a solid, traditional conservative such as Ron Paul or even Minesota congresswoman Michelle Bachman (she seems like the real deal). I for one refuse to vote for anymore phony conservatives. If in 2012 the Republican candidate isn’t talking (convincingly) about reducing the size of government, sound money, tax cuts (or even a fair tax), free markets, individual liberty, welfare and warfare reform, and policing the borders – he (or she) will not get my vote. And most of the people supporting the tea parties agree with this. If the Republican Party wishes to disregard the tea party and its supporters, then we might very well have an additional four years of Obama in 2012.
Obummer would lose even if the (R’s) put up a ventriloquist dummy with NO ventriloquist!!
I say Walter should run… You know Jeff Dunham and Walter?? hehehe…..
Freedom Rocks,
I’m sorry…I really don’t consider Pawlenty to be a Socialist. Where are you drawing the line? Are you in favor of conceding the White House in 2012 to Obama? I am not sure that this is a good idea.
Other,
I agree that John can live a long time with CLL. But the perception that he was somewhat frail and still suffered the effects of his captivity in Vietnam was still real and affected how people voted. And, yes, I knew more than a few normally pro-Life, conservative, Republicans who would not vote for any ticket with Palin on it. Sorry…that is just reality. They just laughed at her and did imitations like Tina Fey. Getting laughed at is probably the worst criticism a person in politics can receive.
@5:15 I understand the differences between conservatives, but I am much more focused on the communist left. With Acorn’s continued funding, the left’s control of education, major media, hollywood, courts and the administration steamroller of a power grab we don’t seem to very far removed from an election scenario like the one that played itself out in Iran earlier in the year. I believe history has vindicated Joe McCarthy, I run to the defense of anyone the MSM relentlessly attacks, because I recognize what their views represent. There exist a statement of communist goals entered into congress in 1963 by Albert Herlong, among them was their stated desire to control one or both political parties and where are we now. So if we agree on every issue but defending Israel is that a bridge too far?
RV If we don’t regain control of congress, in 2010, I think the game is over. The opposition believes their’s is a morally just cause and the ends justify the means. There is a reason less than 20% of the stimulus money has been spent to this point, 600 billion dollars waiting in the wings, it will buy a lot of influence and provide a jolt to the economy, Acorn no doubt will get their share. The poll numbers are encouraging today but will reverse as the economy starts to improve. It will be a much more difficult task, than the numbers suggest today.
Republican voter December 14th, 2009 – 1:19 pm
Sounds like you don’t like good looking smart women what a shame…
I say huge NO on Romney..he screwed up health care in his state…and clear was not paying attention while fist-gate was going on in his public schools..
Most of us true conservatives are fed up with Rino’s and I thin Palin has more back bone than most.
Other December 14th, 2009 – 2:20 pm
You can’t be serious … look what the H.E.ll we have in the white house now!
RV I don’t think I’ve ever met a “normally pro-life conservative”. Is that anything like being a usually pro-choice liberal. It would never occur to me to make a decision about the future of my family based on the opinions of the Saturday Night Live cast. You sure sound like a progressive.
Well, Obunghole is going to find out REAL quick he CAN’T run in 2012 because many States now require proof of Natural Born Citizenship & other paperwork in order to get on the State ballot. Obunghole the Kenyan is finished.
Barring Obama coming to his senses, he and his left wing, Marxist cronies will get the boot come 2012. This–even–if they ran a aardvark with a block of cheese for VP against him.
Palin would beat his ass right now. And that would be the best thing for America in its current debacled state.
This current administration and democrat congress will go down as the most incompetent and corrupt in American history.
We don’t need a Romney style bankrupt healthcare, a “get out of jail free” Huckabee, or anyone that resembles the rhino democrat-approved McCain, or even liberal chum big-tent Nuwt.
Ryan/Palin 2012? Palin/Ryan 2012? New party? Not sure, but it will be Americas last chance to save itself from a total takeover of marxist/communist puppets who are controled by the new world order.

Unfortunately, I think the answer is going to be yes.
