Rove: Ex-WH Press Secretary McClellan Sounds Like Left Wing Blogger

Politico: Former White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan writes in a surprisingly scathing memoir to be published next week that President Bush “veered terribly off course,” was not “open and forthright on Iraq,” and took a “permanent campaign approach” to governing at the expense of candor and competence.

“Sounds like left-wing blogger” …

… except he’s not.

Notsuprised   May 28th, 2008 - 11:19 am

Well, it appears You Tube has already pulled Rove’s comments, which are a matter of public record…

interesting?…

Steve   May 28th, 2008 - 11:23 am

McClellan is quite the “Judas”. Alot of innuendo but rather thin on facts. Typical “Left Wing” BS throw out enough BS and HOPE some of it will stick. If this is the NEW face of the GOP I want nothing to do with it!

dswilli   May 28th, 2008 - 12:18 pm

Gotta love the lefties slobbering all over Scott McClellan. Bad news ladies GW Bush is not running for anything, so get over it. Wouldn’t be the first case of someone getting tired of endless personal attacks trying to gain favor with the enemy. See Scott Ritter. I’m sure it does get to be a grind being ostracized by people who aren’t fit to wash your dog. It takes a special kind of man to stay strong against endless personal attacks. Someone like Ronald Reagan or William F. Buckley. Scott McClellan is no Reagan or Buckley but then again few are.

PaleRyder   May 28th, 2008 - 12:22 pm

Does anyone find it rather curious, when an ex-employee of a repub. admin. writes a tell all story like this, it is hailed as proof and the REAL story???But when a secret service agent assigned to Bill Clinton writes a similar book,he has to be immediately discredited by the media, tax records searched and medical records revealed by an anonymous source of course. Its always about one thing for the author of these books…MONEY.What will sell and make the most,at least without getting your body draped over a cannon in a local park.

whatshisname   May 28th, 2008 - 12:29 pm

“It takes a special kind of man to stay strong against endless personal attacks. Someone like Ronald Reagan or William F. Buckley.”

And Bill Clinton.

Suzanne   May 28th, 2008 - 12:42 pm

Intelligent, rational, well-considered comments. Don’t look for them here. Just once I’d like to see comments without “liberal” and “left-winger”; substitutes for real commentary.

Jack Kennedy   May 28th, 2008 - 12:50 pm

Scott is doing what his mother did, turn on the repubs for grab at power.

These folks are typical “former democrats” of the repub party, turn when its suits personal power grab.

Scott, like momma carol keeton mcclellan rylander strayhorn, is an whore chasing power/money by selling books, typical for liberals.

Gotta luv moderates, no ideology but greed.

At least he makes obama crowd happy.

enjoy radicals.

Mac-101   May 28th, 2008 - 12:51 pm

I’d like to know is who published the book and how much of an advance did he get. Could this be a factor in the “SILENT” man comming out! Follow the money?

tom cruise   May 28th, 2008 - 1:01 pm

This guy is just furthering the radical homosexual agenda. Mom is proud. She marries it and he turns on former associates.

Get it any way you can.

Tex Taylor   May 28th, 2008 - 1:07 pm

Yep Suzanne, I agree. Liberal or left-winger is cliche’.

I prefer the terms, pathetic, stupid, moronic, queer, and cowardly when describing the Dimocrats and their ilk.

And if there’s a Dimocratic female involved, you can always throw in man-hating, ugly and shrew to describe.

reteach   May 28th, 2008 - 1:25 pm

Seems to me it’s McClellen who”veered terrible off course.” What a STOOGE!!!!

Boscus   May 28th, 2008 - 1:27 pm

All these books by ex-administration insiders accusing Bush and his cohorts of lying, manipulating and mis-managing are a disgrace and have got to stop. Now! Otherwise the American public will think that Republicans have no sense of loyalty and are only out for themselves.

People like McClellen, Richard A. Clarke, Reagan administration Deputy Secretary of the Treasury Paul Craig Roberts, Reagan administration economist Bruce Bartlett, L. Paul Bremmer, former senior adviser to the Coalition Provisional Authority Larry Diamond, Bush speechwriter David Frum, Chief of Staff for Sec. of State Col. Larry Wilkerson, head of Bush’s faith-based initiative John DiIulio, Treasury Secretary Paul H. O’Neill, General Zinni, Maj. Gen. Paul D. Eaton and others too many to mention — all Bush or Reagan insiders who have written books or made extensive statements condemning the Bush Administration– have been compromised, probably paid off by the Liberals and islamofascists or blackmailed by the homos, and should be sent to Gitmo or worse.

Republicans: keep you eye on fellow Republicans. Even the most loyal sounding of them, especially the most loyal sounding of them, may actually be aiding the Enemy. Report all suspicious activity, odd acquaintances, flashy clothes, being over concerned with appearances, lack of enthusiasm for the President, exaggerated enthusiasm, religious or lifestyle “tolerance,” bulges, nervousness, reading, and other suspicious behavior immediately.

Dacker   May 28th, 2008 - 1:32 pm

Scott McClellan is a worthless, lying piece of crap… where as Carl Rove, on the other hand, is a worthless, lying piece of crap. Therefore, listening to either of their worthless crap is a waste of time. Hopefully, America will be able to recover from the past 8 years…when the the rest of the worthless crap in is flushed out the White House this January.

Enzo   May 28th, 2008 - 1:36 pm

McClellan is the pansy son of a flaming liberal ‘RINO’. Nobody in the White Hose trusted the little SOB, and he was given minimal information by the President’s staff. He obviously resented that fact, and decided to capitalize on the opportunity to pay them back.

Scotty faced a dead end, professionally, and this was a personal promotional attempt to at long last “be somebody.”

Think about this:

Who in America even knew who Scotty McClellan was before this book was released? Now,voila! …His name is news, and he’s off on the promotional book signing, and talk show circuits. What a dirt ball!

Bush had some really good Press Secretaries over the past 7+ years. Scott McClellan is certainly not one of them. Scott is not a good man. What he says lacks substance. His book is carcinogenic garbage to be ravenously lapped up by dumpster-diving democrats wishing to feed the festering tumor of liberalism.

Bruce   May 28th, 2008 - 2:07 pm

Some people just cant see through the smoke screen huh?

Funny how the same words were used to describe all of the former Bush employees who have come out and exposed this administration for what it is. “disgruntled, angry, disloyal, snitch, liberal etc.” I don’t understand the comments bashing liberals. Scott McClellan was a trusted Bush insider from Texas, what does this have to do with liberals? Come on folks, use your own brains, this is a tried and true method of diversion. Blame the media or the liberals. Don’t get me wrong both parties do it and we should all be intelligent enough to recognize SPIN when we hear it. Trust me anyone who comes out against the administration will be discredited and sodomized. Remember that’s what the Valerie Plame scandal was all about, they were striking back at her husband Joe Wilson for speaking out in regards to the manufactured evidence to go to war. So they outed a CIA agent and here is McCleland confirming that Rove, VP Cheney, Libby et al were involved.

Some people are so ignorant that all someone has to say is liberal or media and they forget all about the facts.

rover   May 28th, 2008 - 2:10 pm

I like it when the truth finally comes out Bush will go down as a worst president than Regan was. Just give things time and like butter the truth floats to the top of the milk bottle. Think I will give out 1 scoop ice cream cones at my parlor tonight to only my liberal friends to celebrate.

Art   May 28th, 2008 - 2:17 pm

I think Enzo is a whitehouse blogger. How would you know that what Scot says lacks substance? The book hasn’t even been released yet! What dubya says lacks substance, Nigerian Yellow cake, weapons of mass destruction, bring it on, mission accomplished, etc.. How there can be a single person in this country who believes that GWB has credibility on ANYTHING absolutely boggles my mind. 23% approval rate!!!!!

Rover   May 28th, 2008 - 2:23 pm

Of course, the inside stories (the real ones) will be coming out a LOT now. Bush’s staff is starting to leave in large numbers:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/05/27/AR2008052702641.html

I am sure each one of them has their own part to tell. And it looks like it will be very sad.

No reason to listen to lieing propagandists traitor Rove. In the end game, Scooter will take care of him.

What will truly be sad is just how very true it all is about Bush White House. Even McCain is afraid to show his face with them now. The example is the secret hidden fund raiser McCain had with Bush in AZ this week. McCain still has to kiss Bushes hind side for money and put up with Rove too. But if you want to see how McCain feels about Rove. Just put them together and mention ‘Bridget’ and see what McCain does to Rove. Seeing that 71 year old McCain ripping Rove’s head off and s****** down his throat on YouTube would probably help the McCain campaign more than all this sucking up to the Bush regime. But McCain is to ignorant and weak to do anything but follow what his republicon masters tell him to do. Soon, they will all be gone…

Enzo   May 28th, 2008 - 2:40 pm

I think Art is a White House ‘mole’. How else would he know what Dubya says lacks substance.

Hey Art, go ahead and vote for that empty-suit Barrack Hussein Obama. Perhaps it is better if America is brought down by its own citizens from within, rather than by outside Islamists… An exposed enemy is much easier to fight… It will become easier for American patriots to get directly involved, and ultimately destoy them for good.

Hikaru   May 28th, 2008 - 2:51 pm

I’m a right-winger, and the title and comments seem to ignore that what McClellan said may be true. That kind of truth is not a matter of left- or right-wing. But I suppose the people buying into the left vs. right junk are probably too blind to see that all this political stuff connected to the liberal vs. conservative mentality is just a lie to keep them from actually seeing or focusing on real issues…which the MSM cares little or nothing for either. Operation brainwash and deceive the people: success!

Dacker   May 28th, 2008 - 3:59 pm

I am self employed, and I was a Republican until GW Bush was elected. I thought the entire country was on drugs to even humor him as a candidate.
My solution: If you voted for “W” in 200, you’re forgiven. If you voted for “W” in 2004, you should be given a rifle and sent to Iraq to finish your war. If you vote for McCain, you should have to provide your own darned rifle.

Larse   May 28th, 2008 - 4:31 pm

YES!!

This will be one of those National Treasures!

“McClellan includes the charges in a 341-page book, “What Happened: Inside the Bush White House and Washington’s Culture of Deception,” that delivers a harsh look at the White House and the man he served for close to a decade.”

$15.37 over on Amazon. I am ordering mine right now!

It will now become a game for the ex-cons to see who can sell the most books explaining the disaster they created. They had better fill propaganda minister Rove with amphetamines so he can run around like a little treasonous chicken trying to stop all the leaks.

libsukbad   May 28th, 2008 - 5:29 pm

I guess this is GW’s just desserts for trying to go for the big tent approach, he hired a bunch of untrustable turncoats to appease the left. Let that be a lesson. “Compassionate conservatism” is equal to liberalism IMHO.

Tubby   May 28th, 2008 - 5:29 pm

If this guy was so aghast at what he was seeing in the Bush White House why did he not quit out of disgust. Instead he was let go from his job and this book just seems like sour grapes.

I hear his mom is a real money gubbing spinless nit wit too.

kevin   May 28th, 2008 - 5:42 pm

It’s about selling books, the truth is irrelevant.

Matt   May 28th, 2008 - 5:49 pm

Golly… Karl Rove has the same excuses as the dumb-@ss conservatives on this comment board.

“Must be those d@mn ‘left-wing bloggers’ ”

When are you IDIOTS going to realize that all your problems aren’t the “left-wings” doing…. maybe they’re your own.

How come it’s always the GOOD presidents that get assassinated?

Ceenoes Kupladox   May 28th, 2008 - 5:50 pm

Enzo: “I think Art is a White House ‘mole’. How else would he know what Dubya says lacks substance.”

Brilliant. Perceptive. Incisive. Holmesian (Sherlock), in fact. The Libs are always accusing us of being dumb but who but a True Conservative — and the best of them at that — could have come up with such an insight? The MSM and the loony left and the elitists (excluding of course the elite Special Forces and the elite USMC) are always bleating that what the President says lacks substance. But as you, Enzo, so irrefutably point out, how could they know that unless they were White House moles. Well, they couldn’t *all* be White House moles, of course, but there has to at least one mole feeding that information to his or her comrades on the outside, because, otherwise, as Mr. or Miss Enzo, put it, how would anyone know that what Dubya says lacks substance?

Jim   May 28th, 2008 - 7:29 pm

Karl Rove – Joeseph Goebbels

Same thing.

You folks need to grow up, get over
your stupid Cons vs Libs bs and start
recognizing the real enemies.

o.k.?

Muck Fexico II   May 28th, 2008 - 8:45 pm

McClellan should be flogged to with in an inch of his life and then shot. He is a piece of scum…..no matter what he says.

Rover   May 28th, 2008 - 11:01 pm

@Muck Fexico II
“McClellan should be flogged to with in an inch of his life and then shot. He is a piece of scum…..no matter what he says.”

Spoken like a true Nazi appeaser…

@Enzo
“I think Art is a White House ‘mole’. How else would he know what Dubya says lacks substance.”

Maybe he has 1/4 of a brain and just figured it out like 74% of America has now…

@libsukbad
“I guess this is GW’s just desserts for trying to go for the big tent approach, he hired a bunch of untrustable turncoats to appease the left. Let that be a lesson.”

No honor among thieves…

It is interesting!!! This seems to be about that fateful ‘moment’ in history that the ‘Bush thing’ “all falls down”. Scott might have just been that last straw, at that right time, that brings the Bush White House down. Bush, like any other cat’s, lives may have finally run out now.

Running the little ‘mein traitor’ “propaganda minster” Rove is not getting very far now.

After the MEGA giant f*** up in Iraq turned out to be the worst blunder in modern military history, George and Tony turned to God for judgement… Cheney preDicks that history will judge you well… History is getting here fast now and you are going down. WAY DOWN!!!! Welcome to Hell you worthless ignorant fools!!

Then there is McCain… Poor SOB never was good at school… Learned to say what he was told to say in Hanoi’s finest POW camps:

http://tinyurl.com/3cbhgx

And now he has to kiss up to Rove and Bush to get any support at all… McCain is a born loser… And old one and built to last if you believe his docs. But a true American looser by any standard.

“rover parasites”… I have far too big of a bite to write two and three sentence responses… Try harder and don’t just cut and past… Actually thinking for yourself rather than trying to think for me is easy, if your are capable of thinking at all. Hahahahhahaha!! Gotcha there :D

Larse   May 28th, 2008 - 11:43 pm

Wow!!

I get mine shipped June 3rd… :P

http://tinyurl.com/4fjayj

Looks like June 9th now for those who ordered late!!! OH!! “Usually ships within 1 to 3 weeks.”, Now…

Looks like those cashing in telling about the “inside” of the ‘Bush failure’ is BIG business now!!!

But the destruction of our country and how it happened SHOULD be BIG news…

In the “story of Bush”, there will be a chapter named armageddon. And it starts now…

Rover   May 29th, 2008 - 1:03 am

110,000 books sold off Amazon as of “last night”… $15+ a pop… That’s $1.65+ Million in sales as of “last night”…

Good time to be an insider to the Bush mess for sure!!!

Sort of sad that old Bush insider scums reap such giant rewards… But history has to know what went wrong at almost any cost! Lest we repeat it, with McCain…

Muck Fexico II   May 29th, 2008 - 6:12 am

Rover
Remember ONE THING……I fought for the right for you to say what you want to say or you would saying it now in German, Korean, Vietnamese or Arabic now. So keep talking and how was your stay in Canada until you had the balls to come back to the mother land?

Larry in Toronto   May 29th, 2008 - 12:27 pm

It is very interesting that no one is indicating that the contents of the book are not true.

They the about charater of the person, not about the facts written in the book.

Enzo   May 29th, 2008 - 12:54 pm

Rover:

Your statement regarding McLellan… “Maybe he has 1/4 of a brain and just figured it out like 74% of America has now…” reveals your spiteful, stupid, ignorant view on America. Like most elitist and condescending liberals you believe 3/4ths of America has only 1/4th of a brain.

Where do you fit in, Rover? Somewhere below most of America I imagine. Demonstrating such poor writing skills, and displaying horrendous spelling ability makes you appear rather inane and poorly educated. Political correctness most likely pushed you through school, and Democrat Party controlled Labor Unions probably guaranteed your job in exchange for your vote, so you’ve never had to think for yourself, have you?

I disliked Carter and Bill Clinton, but I always new the set backs they created for our country would be temporary, and reversible. But you Obama enrapt hate-mongers of the Left are nothing but doom and gloom pessimists… You actually believe that if BHO isn’t elected it signals the end of the world!

Even with weak-kneed, wimps of your ilk occasionally wresting positions of power from those more capable, I know America is strong enough to weather through the forecasted catastrophic “perfect storm” that will no doubt be created by that narcissistic empty-suit, Barrack Hussein Obama.

Whatever the outcome of this Presidential election, I am hopeful it will result in a one-term Presidency, after which we can choose a new President from among an improved slate of candidates.

Ciao,
Uncle Enzo

gmc7e   June 2nd, 2008 - 4:16 pm

He’s about as transparent as his motive to write the book. Its all about $$. Many cabinet members will transition to law firms or lobbyists (same thing) to sell themselves. A few may land jobs as political analysts. McClellan wasn’t likely to get a good job as a political analyst, nor as a lobbyist. So he sold a story which should bring in a big advance due to his turncoat status, which is of interest to the far left. Now, he’s attempting to position himself for a position with a potential Obama administration. It would be a hard sell to get in with a McCain administration. His life options are quite limited. He’s done with all but the far left……or I hear Walmart is hiring greeters.
