What a truckload of bromide. War has been with us since the beginning of mankind, what makes her think that men (or childless women?) are uniquely responsible for it. (Or, perhaps more to the point, what makes her think war is a matter of “having the right attitude”, and not the result of human nature.)
So that was what was happening…censorship. It happened as well at the beginning of the show too.
Good reason that FOX NETWORK, our obviously RIGHT leaning network, should not present any more award shows….unless it’s for “The Most Obvous Administration Asskissers Awards of the Year” and you know that OReilly and Hannity would win, hands down.
The only part they censored was her final vulgarity laced phrases — apparently.
Fox committed an unethical and immoral act by CENSORING Sally Field’s anti-war speech and other speeches that dared to imply anything that might be considered anti-war. Fox tainted the reputation of the Emmy Awards by this action. The Emmy’s should publicly denounce Fox’s fascist policy against free speech.

good for you Sally – how silly of fox to edit that piece out – perhaps goddham might have been bleeped, but not the whole sentence… really shows the depravity this country is currently in.

When will they learn, politics may be entertaining, but entertainment is not politics? I understand that you may have an opinion, one way or another, but, if this isn’t a political convention, shut up.
You are paid to speak other peoples words, you do that well, keep doing it and just thank them for it when you get an award.
I not for or against war, but sometimes it is a necessary evil. As for FOX news “censoring” that’s really the pot calling the kettle black. They were censoring her vulgar language and vulgar speech. THAT my ignorant writer is against the rules of FCC. She knew she’d be bleeped out. She said it for the crowd and the news. For anyone who does commercials for BIG PHARMA, she’s a real hypocrite and really lacking in knowledge of history as well. What a putz.
As for your calling Fox FDS…CNN is “communist news network” – how childish…..NBC “national bullsh__t channel, ABC “Always bull__t channel” “CBS” Continuous bullsh__t channel” – they are all bull, and full of it. I have many friends who are in Iraq and some in Afghanistan…..they consistently get upset over Hollywood and their idiocy and the ALL news channels for and I quote “NOT REPORTING THE TRUTH” and undermining and causing more casualties from their ignorance.” – She has every right to make comments, but when she starts cursing and going nuts [looks like she forgot her lines, maybe she needs some ARICEPT], she lost all credibility.
If Hollywood ruled the world everyone would be like Sally Fields, over-emotional blubbering dumb-downed drama-queens incapable of achieving rational thought and we’d all be forced to worship some tin-can statue as God.
Amazing how the crowd applauded despite her dementia.
Horse hockey. Sally is an ultra-liberal and media hound from way back. She knew exactly what she was doing and knew she would be bleeped. Censorship? Not hardly. Only a liberal looney would call that censorship.
It isn’t about right or left politics or morality. It isn’t about free speech or censorship.
The program is about recognition for achievement.
The behavior and words only demonstrate a lack of self control, a lack of sense, and indicate the emotional and psychological problems she has battled for years. She is past being able to change, to control herself or to act appropriately. Appreciate her achievements and disregard her words and behavior – they only demonstrate that she is human and has limitations.
For all the people that call this censorship I have to disagree with that! This lady was on the FOX network. They run that show and without FOX that night they might be out talking to a parking meter about there accomplishments. FOX just as any other network has the right to filter out content. Imagine Ted Nugent on stage at a CBS event yelling about the right to own guns and stupid news reporters! Please call a spade a spade

Reality check – Who cares about the Emmys…who cares about Sally Field…and who cares what she thinks or has to say. Answer – a few people with apparently little to do. Fox should have done her a favor and cut her off sooner thereby stopping her from embarassing herself with her rambling mess of an apparent need for more memory meds.
That word has always been banned from TV. You liberals don’t just pick on Fox. All local stations ban those words.

The only thing more taboo than Sally Field saying “goddamned” on the Emmy Awards is any of the 2008 Republican Presidential candidates uttering the words “President Bush” during their campaign appearances.
What a revolutionary and courageous act on the part of Sally Field. Never before have these words been spoken by anyone in the history of mankind or womenkind. Truly she will go down as one of the most courageous people of 2007.
Sally Field is a freak. First of all, she looked frumpy, dumpy and lumpy in that weirdo bridesmaid dress and that gawd-awful 1978 “Smokey and the Banditâ€-era hairdo. She’s not half bad looking for an old broad, but she is wound so tight she’s become a scary old crank.
Well before that incoherent mess of a would-be antiwar rant, she gave an award with Patrick Dempsey and literally snapped at his perfectly benign compliment with a sneering “yeah you look beautiful too†followed by a roll of her eyes and a head shake. What the hell was that? She seemed to be implying that we all knew she looked like crap and didn’t appreciate the sarcasm.
The best thing FOX did was cut off that inarticulate ramble. Now no one will be talking about the “um, uh, I forgot what I was going to say, uh, something about war and mothers, oh no wait, I JUST SAID THAT — THAT’S what the audience was applauding for in the first place when I started shrieking at them like a demented harridan.†Well, I for one really DON’T like her. I REALLY don’t. What a SPAZ!
I don’t watch FOX, just like I don’t watch reruns of Hitler’s rallies…

You are wrong sally – so wrong. If mother’s ruled the world? You have got to be kidding – i would hope you are not talking about the mothers hollywood has on show these days – however, if i ruled the world, there would be no hollywood and vermin like you would be nonexistent.
