Stop the madness!
Dear God! What have we become?
“stop the madness”, “what have we become”…….. oh, enough with the theatrics and melodrama people
Another life taken for the enjoyment of humans.I would rather see a human athlete drop did on the field, the horse doesnt make the choice.May God punish every human for the suffering inflicted on innocent animals everywhere
Human beings are the Problem, NOT the solution.
typical woman
but seriously, we get all these weird people (usually female) moaning and groaning about some dumb horse being put down on a race-track – but they have no problem putting down the human child kicking in their womb.
talk about skewed priorities
Come on! Are you trying to gain sympathy for animals by saying you’d rather see a human being die? Nice way to attract PEOPLE to your cause you morons!!
David D,
What is wrong with you. I’m saddened by the horse dying, but come on! Lay off the cool aid!
Gayle C. I couldn’t agree with you more. Look at it this way, this horse is lucky. The rest will stay on for more abuse until they are put down.
I’m sick of all the anti-equine racist talk on this thread. A horse died people, it’s a tragic loss.
If we darn humans think we are so smart then why can’t we pull our own Budweiser wagon? Think about it.
Speaking of Budweiser, I’ll be back in 5 mins.
You people are just plain stupid, whining retards. It’s a tragedy, but tragedies happen. Wild animals of all kinds get injured and die as a result. The difference is that in the wild, the death can be slow and painful.
You puzzies would cry and wring your hands when an antelope is killed and eaten by a lion.
While this is a tragedy, the animal was put out of his suffereing. These horses are NOT mistreated. You’re just uninformed or just plain stupid.
Loblolly, it sounds like you’ve had more than a few Buds already. Get back in your hole, loser.
Please to send these wonderful meat steaks to my butcher shop via FEDEX!
IT’S PARTY TIME!
Butch R. Mann
Horses are meant to run…the jockey’s and owners love and treat their horses well… if your going to question the sport at all perhaps the track surface and conditions should be investigated.
Horse racing is a beautiful thing. Look at the majesty and power of these animals. Unfortunately, tragedies do happen. You call racing cruel, yet these animals are pampered and cared for more than 99.99% of the people in this country.
PETA-Peaple Eating Tasty Animals.
It is a shame when any creature must be put down, especially one as beutiful as these supreme horses. If it wasn’t for horse racing, these horses would not exist. I believe more “humans” are killed in car racing, but PETA does not care for them. They’ll come back and say the car racers make their own choices, but it is still an avoidable death.
If PETA had their way, this would be one hungry, boring world to live in.
Before all of you hooked on phonics people jump on me, yes I know I had a slip of the finger and spelled “people” incorrectly in my previous post.
Is it true that 80% of retired race horses become dog food?
It’s to bad most of the PETA type screamers know nothing of what they are talking about. These race horses are the elite of the elite. The are pampered, fed, groomed and every little detail is looked after. They are bred to run, they love to run, and they put all their heart into running. The jockeys crop (no whips are used) are a timing thing. You can’t beat a horse into running faster. I love a good horse and feel they are pure art in motion, so to lose a fine work of art like this is a tradegy. It’s a bigger lose to the owners and breeders who most probably planned on those great bloodlines being passed on to several more generations. Feel bad that a true champion died doing what she loved, not about some made up abuse story.

How many wonderful horses have to be put down because of the terrible injuries they suffer while “peforming” for mankind. I am appalled !
