AP: Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, battling a brain tumor, walked through a wall of applause into the Senate on Wednesday and cast a stunningly unexpected vote on long-stalled Medicare legislation.

He didn’t drown any young women on the drive to the Capital, did he?

Sean   July 9th, 2008 - 4:50 pm

Did he know where he was?

mary right   July 9th, 2008 - 4:53 pm

“ALEing” Kennedy. $hitfaced as usual!

mary right   July 9th, 2008 - 4:54 pm

Irony!

He develops pneumonia and dies in his own lung fluids!!! KARMA!!!

Best wishes Ted!

Jeff   July 9th, 2008 - 5:15 pm

Bravo! A standing ovation from a CONGRESS with a 9% approval rating. Ted, the Illegal Immigrants are SO GLAD you’re back! They need to finish their amnesty!

Vi Kenosha   July 9th, 2008 - 5:21 pm

This man is a legend. You Repubs are just snipping cause you don’t have a Loin like Kennedy in the Senate. No one has done more for the common good than this man. And you creeps are reaping the benifits of his hard work. Only a Repub would try to kick a good man when he is down (ill). I would expect nothing less of the Repubs with their corrupt natures.

navy56   July 9th, 2008 - 5:22 pm

I don’t care for the stances Mr. Kennedy takes on most issues but he does deserve the respect due to a Senator of our country just as President Bush does as president .
I wish him only good in his present battle.
God bless him!
Enough with the hate.

RB   July 9th, 2008 - 5:30 pm

Respect just because he is a Senator? He is an elected official. He has to earn respect, it is not given just because he holds an elected postion. I have more respect for someone who works than I do this crook. Elected officials are not Gods. I really wish Americans would wake up and realize this.

Has this POS ever NOT gotten a government paycheck and perks?

And he is an example of the best that America has to offer as a politician. You all need to read about the citizen politicians who made America great!

He deserves NO respect because he is a coward who threw a young girl under the wheels of his polical career rather than be a man!

Read what the lead investigator of that sorry saga had to say about him.

Human Garbage!

Navy56,
Good for you. Most of these posting are from bitter, hateful people (I wonder how many are “good” church-going Christians). Shame on all of you.

Bob   July 9th, 2008 - 6:08 pm

Give a man who has NEVER held a real job his entire life a standing ovation. Too bad half the lazy bastard Senators weren’t even there. Hey Airwick, the most hateful scumbags on earth are democrats, so blow it out your ass.

mary right   July 9th, 2008 - 6:34 pm

Apparently some people think you have to be church going to be “good”.

Thanks but I don’t buy it. I was given a brain to use so I do just that!

RWR   July 9th, 2008 - 6:35 pm

Not going to speak ill of the dying. But really does Ted Kennedy deserve a standing O for anything he’s done?

Rover   July 9th, 2008 - 7:54 pm

Stand up and cheer for Senator Kennedy
A man who will stand up to the Right
For he is willing to fight
With all of his might against
The Bush’s, Cheney’s, even Hannity’s to
The conservative crooks who work so hard to make our lives so blue
So take up a stand
With Senator Kennedy a brave and just man
And work hard like he does to develop a plan
To counter and control the Repuplican man
Justice and fairness we will all shout that I am
Because of the brave Senator Ted Kennedy we all can

Thats for you Senator
Get well real soon
From people who love you
At my Ice Cream Parlor

Obama 08
New ideas, and changes for a constipated country

Airwick   July 9th, 2008 - 7:56 pm

Hey, Bob, I’m a Republican. I just have enough of a sense of decency not to celebrate a man’s illness…unlike scum like you! I’ll bet that you have a “United We Stand” sticker on your bumper. The last time that I checked, Democrats were Americans, too. Hypocrite!

Rover   July 9th, 2008 - 8:14 pm

It’s nice to see Kennedy back. That does put more pressure on McCain who has not been voting since April 8th and then yells at congress for taking a week off. :/

There have been a fair number of votes now with just McCain and Kennedy absent. McCain should make it a point to show up more or that will be an issue pretty fast now.

For all you Ted lovers here is a bit of trivia. Years ago a local newspaper in his town was printing articles that were not exactly prasing good ole Ted. So guess what Ted did? Ted added to the end of a civil rights bill the following: He wanted the Federal goverment (thats the tax payers for you libs) to buy out that newspaper and close the doors. Ted wants complete goverment control and would have never recieved the medical care he has had so far under goverment controlled medicine. The reason being is he is to old and the cost would be to high when the money would be better spent saving younger and more treatable patients.

Mary Jo   July 9th, 2008 - 9:55 pm

It’s not often you see someonr whosot away with murder, given a standing ovation.

Sorry… no respect going to come from me, Senator Ted. What are they saying?… “Nice tumor removal, Teddy”…”Great job, Ted…You showed that tumor who da man!”

What a bunch of crap. He has been one of the worst Senators in American history…should have died in that plane crash back in 1964. Had he died then, Mary Jo Kopeckne might have had the chance to become a wonderful mother and grandmother today…instead she’s dead, Senator! You killed her… you fed her alcohol and a line of sexual BS, then killed her in your drunk driving escapade… and that is a fact you cannot deny, you miserable piece of human excrement!

Tugaloo   July 9th, 2008 - 10:17 pm

Lets all hope the next time we see this jerk he’s lying on his back, in a suit, on a white satin sheet, hands folded and veins full of embalming fluid.

H8R   July 9th, 2008 - 10:46 pm

Vi Kinosha I think had a typo earlier when he said that Republicans didn’t have a liberal loin like kennedy, but then maybe not. Hurry up and cross that bridge to hades teddy, last call coming up.
