I agree with you Rep McCotter one hundred percent, But 62 percent of these fools are still giving him great support. They actually will have to be in bread lines before they wake up and even than I really don’t know if they will.

This law to tax bonuses at 90% does not apply to just the 165 million given to AIG employees. But also the 9 billion given to all wall street employees (at least banks that received TARP funds which is just about all of them). The AIG bonuses were just a ruse for this massive tax. Obama had overwhelming support from wall street fat cats during the election. Sounds like Obama is the one with campaign funding in danger…not McCotter.

The upside is this is really going to hurt New York. The downside is more of those locust are going to escape into red states and bring their corrupt liberal politics with them.

1. Legally – call upon the Congress to “request” the “original” birth certificate vaulted in Hawaii under lock and key that he has not revealed. Make him prove he is legally able to lead our nation.

2. Impeach him due to his destroying our economy and our way of life in America.

The Constitution calls for the President to be a citizen of the United States and gives certain requisites to go by.

However, even though it is required, if it is not “requested” by an official person and/or entity within the government it does not have to be produced.

Call/email your Congressmen and tell them that you want proof and for them to call for it officially.

Let’s put this to bed.

If he has nothing to hide, he will bring it forth and this will be over.

If he doesn’t produce it, he has something to hide and we need to legally go after that birth certificate and remove this fraud from office.

Lawrence O’Donnell Reduces Eric Cantor to Babbling:
Why isn’t THIS news story on this site?? O’Donnell will probably get a Pulitzer for it. Especially since Cantor voted for the tax! A HUGE NO, NO for the Rethuglican’ts! And then of course could not give a straight forward yes or no to the question on national TV! He looked precisely like the “deer in the headlights” all the Rethugs look like lately. Brian Cohoon drew our attention to a clip( http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3036677/vp/29783264#29783264 ) from MSNBC’s Morning Joe, where Lawrence O’Donnell subjects Eric Cantor to some sort of reporting-like substance, effortlessly reducing Cantor to nonsense.

Basically, O’Donnell asks Cantor a straight question: “Are you going to vote for the ‘tax seizure bill’?” That’s the bill introduced by Charles Rangel that would recover these AIG bonuses that threaten to bring civilization to its knees. Cantor’s basic answer is no, but the roundabout evasions are a heaven-sent melange of tongue-tripping malarkey: “LISTEN,” Cantor purrs, “I am for whatever we can do right now to get that money back into the Treasury.” Except that “whatever we can do right now” isn’t, as it turns out, a PLAN. What follows, roughly paraphrased from the original Cantorese, is this: “But uhm, WHY ARE WE HERE TO BEGIN WITH … and the Rangel bill is terrible tax policy … but I will get those bonus payments back, with NECROMANCY, or I’ll pass a bill that requires Tim Geithner to figure all of this out, on pain of death or something.”
O’Donnell summarizes: “What you’re telling us today is that you have no idea how to get the money back, we’d like to ask the Treasury Secretary to do it. We will not vote for Charlie Rangel’s tax proposal.” Then they argue some more. Finally, out of nowhere, you hear Joe Scarborough say, “He’s going to vote FOR it!” But Scarborough has nothing in all the world upon which to base this conclusion.
Anyway, Eric Cantor, the guy just oozes leadership. Probably from a weepy pustule.

Senate Minority Whip Jon Kyl (R-AZ) blamed the “tone deaf” bankers for creating the political environment that allows Obama to call for a cap.

“Because of their excesses, very bad things begin to happen, like the United States government telling a company what it can pay its employees. That’s not a good thing in America,” Kyl told the Huffington Post.

“What executives have done is troubling, but it’s equally troubling to have government telling shareholders how much they can pay the executives,” said Sen. Mel Martinez (R-FL).

Sen. James Inhofe (R-OK) said that he is “one of the chief defenders of Obama on the Republican side” for the president’s efforts to reach across the aisle. But, said Inhofe, “as I was listening to him make those statements I thought, is this still America? Do we really tell people how to run [a business], and who to pay and how much to pay?” . . . .

The objection to the government intervention in salaries is rooted in the Republican belief that government is inherently ineffective. “If Congress can run a financial institution, it belies everything I’ve seen in this body. Government does not do a good job running private institutions,” said Sen. Kit Bond (R-MO).

Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK) agreed: “If we do such a good job of running the federal government, what business do we have telling them how to run the banks?”

The GOP is also concerned that setting compensation limits could put the country on the road to serfdom. “This is just a symptom of what happens when the government intervenes and we start controlling all aspects of the economy. This is just the first piece,” said Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC). “If you accept the fact that the government should be setting pay scales in America, then it’s hard not to go after these exorbitant salaries. But I think it’s a sad day in America when the government starts setting pay, no matter how outlandish they are.”

Was the bill changed by Democrates to allow the AIG bonuses to go through?

Did everyone voting for this bill in fact vote for the bonuses that were given to AIG?

If that is the case, why should they now be so up it arms because of the bonuses?

If they didn’t know this was in here, than should they have voted for a bill they either didn’t understand or didn’t read?

Any way I see it, all of the democtrats righteous indignation really leads back to themselves.

But hey, you can always find a republican to blame.

Please answer these questions for me. If not, you can always go back to the playbook and attack me for answering the questions.

It is time for a third party, a reform party, to gain traction

I hear an echo. Things I, and other people have been saying since this congress and president have been in power. Time to “revote” people. Not with arms, but with votes. Someone more web savvy than myself should start up a website of our own called something like http://www.wethepeoplerevote.org or some crap. The ends to that means should be voting every single member out of office, regardless of political affiliation. They are ALL crooked to one extent or the other, and it will send a message that we the people do ultimately have the final say, if we just get off our ignorant lazy a$$es and do something about it. Time to act people, because time is our enemy, almost as much as our congress and our president. Congress will have the power to impeach this current chief of thieves. Wake up now or wave goodbye to the few morsels of liberty we have left.

Well the reason AIG bonuses are a problem now is because they are unpopular with voters. The Democrats AND Republicans who have been in bed with Wall Street have been signing off on this B.S. ever since the Flood.
The difference is that the media wants to only blame the GOP and not the Dems, who DID know about these bonuses. Now every Dem senator is looking around like “who farted?” because the nation is unemployed, in foreclosure, and their 401Ks are in the toilet, as IF they didn’t know about these bogus bonuses. Campaign contributors must prosper. That’s the law of D.C. Storm the Bastille and break out the guillotines.

Find a group of people to demonize, who are contracted and taxed as ALL normal citizens.

Encourage Public outrage against that group in order to divert attention from what you are really doing

Have legislature ignore the constitution they are sworn to uphold, and pass legislation penalizing and taking their legally earned money at rediculous rates

Identify those people publically so that the public will be able to focus their anger at them.

Sounds like what NAZI Germany did to the Jews.

I hope the AIG employees file a huge a** lawsuit against the government of the United States and gets the money that was/is contractually owed to them! If Congress and the President didn’t want them to have the bonuses they should have read the d*mn bill!

Here’s ANOTHER FACT the lying hipocrytes in the DEMOCRAT Whitehouse, Congress, and mainstream press have chosen to ignore about this matter: during a congressional hearing on March 3rd, Geitner was SPECIFICALLY asked about these very same AIG executive bonuses by a fellow DEMOCRAT Congressman …yet on March 10th, AFTER these bonuses became “public knowledge”… Dodd, Geitner, Obama and virtually every other House DEMOCRAT have been spewing their “surprise, shock and anger” about them. What a pile of stinking bullcrap! As I write, they’re trying to bury their mess (like a buch of cats in a litterbox .. aka “Congress”) by passing some ill-conceived punative and likely unconstitutional tax law to cover their collective, stupid asses!

Sadly, I fear, this ridiculous sideshow is but one of many more “shocking” revelations to come. We can certainly expect more outrageous, stupid and patently corrupt consequences from the “Stimulus” bill. And the REAL story (which will go unreported by mainstream media as long as possible) will still be that they were intentionally CREATED and BURIED by these very same DEMOCRAT clowns.

I’ve seen more HONEST and SUCCESSFUL performances by the organizers and participants at Special Olympic events than EVERYTHING I’ve witnessed so far with this current Adminstration and Congress ! You bring up a good point that no one was able to find this “loophole,” but you also cannot forget the fact that there was less than 12 hours between the time the bill was finalized for vote and the actual vote. The bill being over 1000 pages long, it is unlikely that any member of Congress had the chance to read the bill in full prior to a vote.

Fear-mongering at its worst lead our leaders to force this bill into law, with little time for honest and open debate about just how effective each policy would be. It’s a nightmare situation that never should have come to pass.

CANCEL THE WHOLE DAMNED STUPID PORKULUS PACKAGE AND MAKE EVERYONE WHO HAS RECEIVED *ANY* BAILOUT FUNDS PAY THEM BACK IMMEDIATELY. Problem SOLVED.

Tim Geithner and Congress claim that they got blindsided by the AIG bonuses late last week, before anyone had a chance to stop AIG from paying them. However, C-SPAN’s video library tells a very different story. Watch the clip from a March 3rd hearing of the House Ways and Means Committee in which Rep. Joseph Crowley (D-NY) specifically mentions the upcoming payouts of over $162 million in bonuses to AIG execs, the very same number that inflamed Washington DC this week:

Language was written into the bill to limit compensation like this… according to Sen. Dodd, the Obama administration had this language removed. Can anyone tell me why? And after you explain that to me, can you explain why Obama is outraged over the bonuses being paid out? He’s the one that cleared the path for them. I think it’s obvious. Obama feigns outrage in front of the cameras, then goes into a back room somewhere and cuts deals.

WHAT did you IDIOTS expect, when you put our government in the hands of regressed, delinquent CHILDREN?!? Isn’t that what LIBTARDS really ARE??? Congress passed the law enabling the bonus’ to be distributed. They knew about it long before they admit. Congress now acts all suprised, as if they knew nothing about the bonuses and did not write and pass a law enabling it.
Now the House writes an illegal law targeting private citizens after the fact.
Are all you people REALLY mad at AIG employees and NOT mad at the Bureaucrats who enabled them?

Well I ignored my Democrat friends in November and voted for McCain. And they were right… all of their predictions have come true.
