I don’t think I was trying to advocate that position. In our discussion on how the Muslim rumors continue to plague Obama, we talked about the voters who think he is (some of them saying so even though they know about his public Christianity). I pointed out that commenters in previous threads were talking about this recent article in the New York Times: NYT: President Apostate?.

I am the furthest thing from an Islamic scholar and certainly wasn’t trying to imply that I think Obama is apostate. I know that there has been wide discussion about all of this including this: Obama Islam Smear Changes Stripes

We’ll make sure to try to sort through the claims and counter claims on today’s show.

Whoa, Scott!

Yesterday you said that Barrack Obama was BORN a Muslim and had CONVERTED to Christianity. You even wondered whether that made him apostate.

I hope that was just a lack of understanding from you and not a subtle attempt to discredit the guy. I’m thinking it would be best if you retracted that statement. Obama was neither BORN a Muslim, nor did he convert. (How can one convert if they never had anything to convert from?) Your statement is worse than Hillary’s “…as far as I know..” faint praise.

We count on you to get it right Scott. This time you didn’t. You really need to fix that.
