If you find a defect in you Toyota vehicle, and Toyota has a settlement on a Class Action Lawsuit, do not join the Class Action Suit.
Use your own attorney. Toyota’s “settlement” will make it almost impossible for you to “prove” that you maintained your vehicle in manner that warrants reimbursement from them.
I used the dealership almost exclusively for my maintenance and had almost all of my receipts for service and yet that was still not enough.
Had I not joined the Class Action I would have had a much better possibility of being successful.
