I am a Lutheran pastor, and I certainly would not turn over Church records to the Mormons. Our people have already been baptized, and I am sure that the vast majority of people would not want to be “baptized” after they were dead, by members of a religion which is not their own. That Mormons should be incensed that the Vatican will not allow them access to Church records is beyond belief. How would they like it if Christians decided they were going to convert dead Mormons to Christianity with a posthumus baptism?

I’m with that one guy. I don’t care who wants to baptize me. As long as I don’t have to show up that’s fine by me. There are actually people that think this means something?
