Did anyone notice the statement that if Europe bans seal product the hunt would be pointless? Let me get this strait. No more seal hunts. Seal population explodes. Seal food (fish) becomes scarce. Seals die from starvation.

I don’t think seals should be viewed as ‘just another fish.’ Clubbing is inhumane and is not acceptable as a way of killing any other mammal. I think people see the seal slaughter as closely resembling whaling. And this is why it’s losing support. It just isn’t an acceptable form of hunting anymore. Also, like these men say, if anyone is leaving a seal to bleed out and die, and/or suffer, those individuals should have their licenses revoked – but which hunters are going to report the others? Where are the observers and/or enforcers? This is why others have taken on this role. They want tighter regulations.
