First off, Shaggy was too busy helping Scooby and the rest of gang solve mystery, to actually serve in the military.
Yet, Rev. Wright makes a point. All of these so-called patriots, Cheney, Limbaugh, Hannity and O’Reilly, they never served in the military, so their patriotism is merely lip service. Trust but verify. Cheney, Limbaugh, etc. have NO VERIFIABLE proof of their patriotism EXCEPT the words that come out of their mouth.
Cheney once said that “We’d be greeted as liberators” additonally he still swears there’s weapons of mass destruction. Further, he perpetuated lies to get us into this war. Should we believe him when he says he’s a patriot? Based on that track record?
Limbaugh, calls American military folks “phony soldiers” when they disagree with Bush’s policies. He deferred military service because of a pimple on his a**. He sent a maid all around town in search of Oxycontin. Should I believe him when he says he’s a patriot? Should you?
Any one who builds a 10,000 sqft. home in a exclusive gated community off the churches offerings in a area known for it’s poverty is more than a bit suspect! Sounds like the rev wright is just another race baiter making a good living off folks than don’t have the good sense to see his hypocracy.

Lee Harvey Oswold served in the U.S. Marines before shooting President Kennedy. Just because Oswold served in the military didn’t make him more patriotic than, say, Dick Cheney who served his country’s military as the Secretary of Defense.
No matter how you cut it, dice it, sugar coat it, this guy is a complete disgrace. But he is the gift that keeps on giving. Gotta love it.

By using the comparison that Cheney did not serve,then the only candidate qualified to even be on the ballot for commander-in-chief is McCain.He not only served but so is his son.To push it even further,then I would prefer if the talking heads on the media side of this would also shut up,if they did not serve then who are they to criticize.It is a stupid point to assume but maybe military service should be required for the job of pres.At least Hillary tried,but her glasses were like coke bottles and got sent away.And barry’s attempt to serve in the black panthers and nation of islam and his outright support of al-quida(a semi military org.) should get him some points.I’m sure he would be a fine complainer-in-chief,the way he whines everytime he gets a tough question.By god I think he might be exactly what we need to make this country look like a bunch of sniveling little 12 year olds.Obviously the good rev’s service made one hell of an American out of him.I have 3 vietnam vets in my family and quite frankly,the rev isn’t qualified to lick their boots,then again,maybe that is exactly what he’s qualified for.
Serving in the military is a wonderful thing. But it doesn’t give you carte blanche for bad behavior for the rest of your life. Just because Wright was a marine doesn’t mean he isn’t a racist – or a jerk.

You act as if no one would even notice how poorly this country has treated certain groups of people if not for someone like Wright pointing it out. Get REAL! This country’s history is well known, both here and abroad. It is time for Americans to come out of DENIAL and deal with the its reality. Racism and the impacts of past racist policies are still hurting America. Ignoring it will not make it go away. Nor is there any real benefit to attacking the person who reminds you that it exists.

You pull out the fact that Rev. Wright is purchasing an expensive home as if that is something wrong. I thought this America? He made the money, can’t he spend it however he wishes?
I bring up the others becuase to merely point to the purchase of an expensive home and imply that somehow that makes hime a bad person or less Christian is wrong. This country is filled to the gills with so-called “Men of God” fleecing their flocks for their own material wealth. But again, what’s wrong with that?
Assuming you go to church, how do you think that you pastor/minister/priest/Grand Dragon feeds themselves and their family? Were you assuming that God just hands these religious men a check every two weeks, with taxes and FICA deducted of course? I think you were.
You may not agree with his message, but apparently Rev. Wright’s thoughts and beliefs resonate with the African-American community. Now he’s sitting pretty because of it.

He actually made most of his money from the books he has written, speaking engagements all over the world, and he is on several boards of directors. I am thinking he has done more to help the poor than you and Shaggy.

I find it interesting that to this day we, as Americans, would rather turn a blind eye towards the issues of our homeland. True Rev. Wright may have uncovered some issues but is it not relevant to the times in which we live in. Hell i remember when gas was a Dollar a gallon, is there an oil shortage cause the hike. With gas prices skyrocketing, the housing on decline, cost of living increasing, value of the Dollar declining, and amongst all this… Are we still looking for Osama? or have we given that up until something else happens.
