Now, even Republicans can have a friend 
OK …it’s a little plastic robot boy who can be your friend. How sad is that? The other commenter is right. For some reason inventors kept coming up with virtual and electronic pets too. You have seen the “puppy” you can love like a real one. Well sorry to burst their bubble but that thing cannot love you back. No matter how they fine tune it. The relationship will be empty. I think it is sad that great minds are wasting their energies on this kind of stuff.

Why? What is the purpose of this thing? Perhaps a high-priced toy that only upper class parents can afford to purchase for their children to take the place of themselves while they are at work all day and then don’t have the time, energy or inclination to interact with their children when they finally do get home (or are too busy entertaining friends)? Sounds cynical, yes? But that doesn’t make it any less true far too many times in this day and age of he/she with the most toys/money when they die wins. The kids always lose.
Why? Money. That’s all it’s ever about, sadly to say.
